I really like the Parable of the Lost Sheep. Jesus is our Shepherd. We are lost without Him. I appreciate this parable because Jesus does care about us, even when we are lost. Rejoice in Jesus.

I especially like the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican. It emphasizes that being a christian and hoping to redemption doesn't mean to follow certain rules, to accomplish some tasks, but to have a humble soul. Everybody sins, one more others less (it depends on many factors), but no one can be perfect, everybody is guilty in front of God. And no matter how moral your life was, you should in the first place to ask for mercy, to show God that you love Him, that you care about His wishes, that you want to spend your eternity with Him.

It doesn't mean that following the rules is useless, but you should not judge those who sin, because you never know what other strenghts they have...

And I praise Jesus for the finished work on the cross. We as believers now dont need to please the Father by means of following the ten commandments. Jesus fulfilled them all and now,Jesus after paying the price for our sins, interceeds for us in the Father so that we are made righteous and holy by the blood of Jesus. Following the rules now is less of a burden because it is now a response in our part to love God by means of following his commands for us. We are saved! :D

It's really interesting what you say... and I would love to know more about your opinions. I also believe that you can redeem without following all the rules, but I think not following them is a sin, that you must regret. Why do you think the 10 commandments are not lawful anymore? And what do you mean by "we are saved"? We are saved if we show God love, even if we don't follow the rules? Or we are saved no matter what we do? I understood that before Christ nobody went to heaven, no matter how their lifes were, not even Abraham. And Christ payed for our original sin, so we have the opportunity to be baptised and go to heaven, but only if we really deserve this (in a way or another). What's your opinion about the chances of going to hell now?
