Transcription In Languages Besides English: Anyone Looked Into That?

So, everyone on Mylot must communicate in English, but I was curious if anyone has looked into doing transcription in their native languages. Are there resources out there for beginning transcribers in Spanish, Japanese, etc.? I know that English transcription is in high enough demand that I can get work even as a non-professional... and bring in a little more than gas money.
I'm wondering this because I often suggest transcription as an option to anyone who looks like they have good language skills and is looking for something relatively lucrative online, but I'd like a more informed idea of what the industry looks like from other perspectives.

It's not rampant but there are other languages that needs to be transcribed. I'm an active odesk contractor and have been transcribing for quite sometime. I noticed that there are clients who are posting for audios to be transcribed in Spanish, Japanese, German and French. It's very hard for them to find one because I also noticed that there are no applicants or just 1 applicant when they're posting for something like that.
