All of the shows i watch on tv are taking a break.. Oh well, they do deserve it, since they have worked for many months.. Some are taking a month break, others even more. I am just sad, since they decided to take a break just when the shows are getting more and more exciting, they're kind of "killing" the fans.
Oh well, i just hope everyone has a nice Christmas.

I love that show , I was not aware that is taking a break already . I think they would have waited until Christmas week . I enjoy the last week episode .

I'm glad shows take a break, so holiday specials air. Its fun to see people singing holiday songs and watch Frosty The Snowman and other classic specials. It gives me time to watch any shows I'm behind on seeing episodes and spend quality family time. The actors deserve time with their families and some of the actors don't get paid and lot, as they are just like us hard working people.

Oh yes, that is the good side to it. i love shows that they air during the holidays too, they are mostly fun and family oriented..
Now i think it is a very god thing that they do take breaks, since there are some shows i got that i have not fully watched yet.

I think that they get the story line more and more exciting so it does 'kill' the fans and they will come back again to see what happens. Alot of the ones I watch will be back in January. I hope everyone has a grand CHristamas too.

Oh! That's a sad thing. but is it like all of them are taking the break at once?? if that's the case i am very much sorry for you. favorite shows taking break at once that too when they are getting more and more excited is something that will litereally kill us!
Wish your shows start up as soon as they could. Yes, they definitely need that much needed break that too this winter., understandable..

Once Upon a Time had their last episode last Sunday, The Vampire Diaries will have a break after this week's episode and Nikita already took a break until january 18..
I will just keep myself busy with school and Christmas activities, time flies fast anyways.

Haha its the Cliff hangers of all tv series. I think its a ploy also to raise our enthusiasm on the show. They're banking on people's curiosity to further the shows ratings so they see to it that nearing the season break is the highlight of the show.

I used to hate this!! I started to cycle my shows for this very reason. I don't own a TV so watch the new shows on hulu and mix them up with the old or UK shows since they don't follow the same schedules. When Revenge or Once Upon a Time is off, I watch the misfits, booth at the end. I also got into youtube series which are worthy than real TV and better than some crap they show. Try it out.

I have never watched any youtube series.. Are they any good? Maybe you can recommend some of them to me. Do they update all the time? I just get tired of waiting for stuff o be put into the internet, especially mangas, which is why i wait for it to finish before i read.

Since several of the shows I like are on at the same time, at least I will get a break from either taping them and trying to find time to watch them on tape or on the Internet if they are are there which some aren't. Of course I will have to keep a close watch in the listings for when they return so I won't miss any episodes.

A winter break means you are still connected with schools, enjoy it while you can, breaks like this are few and far between when you are working for a living. Blessings

I know what you mean about the shows taking a break during the winter season, but I can see why they do take a break because there is a lot that is going on during the holiday season and there are a lot of specials that would come on that pre-empt the typical scheduled programming.
For me, it doesn't bother me as much as it bothers other people because I watch all of my programs on DVR delay so the breaks from the shows that I really like to watch will allow me to catch up on my shows.

Well I just want to know what kinds of TV show had took a break?
Because I think it is a little weird because usually the Christmas season is the peak time for the TV station and all the TV station try their best to attract more audience,at least in my country all TV station are do so.

I think most of the tv series, especially the famous ones take breaks.. The Vampire diaries series takes lots of breaks.. I guess they are confident a lot of people would still watch them when they come back, and they do leave the fans with cliffhangers.
