I have heard so much about facebook and want to be a member there. And many of my business partners are in there. so we could interact by some nice conversation except for business ones. From facebook, I may wide my horizon to the other foreign culture and affairs. But it's a pity and make me depressed is we could not open the website and even not to mention the registering. Could you do me a favor to solve this problem by a simple way ?

Facebook is blocked in China because if I'm not mistaken, Facebook has been used to spread Democracy, of which China does not want to have because of the possibilities of provoking people to retaliate towards the government. Whatever the case, I think you can register Facebook from China by using Proxies & VPNs. I'm not sure how to work those out, but that is one thing you can start from.
Hope this helps.

why does chinese government block the Facebook? That's the question I am confused with for quite a long time. actually i don't think your analisis is absolutely right, but the reality is that i can't use Facebook freely. Unfortunately, there is still no convenient way to visit Facebook, but we can make it by FanQiang....not stable usually. considering you are an American, you may not know the meaning of FQ. just a pc tech, hehe :)

Facebook is blocked in china.but you can use some special software to jump the firewall of internet. But when you use this kind of software,it is not stable and function very slowly.Which i think it is really unconvenient and a waist of time.I had tried before.

I heard that facebook is banned in China. I don't know whether it is true or not. If you access to Facebook webpage you can register in home page itself. One option should be there to register as a new member
