It's about a week since the sun has shown it's shiny face here in Boston, MA. This morning I woke up and the sun was actually in my eyes...which is why I woke up! All we've had is rain and one day a sprinkling of snow that did't amount to much thankfully. I have some errands to do and when it's rainy or just cloudy I can't get myself to go out and do what I have to do. Today I will get my errands done and hope he sun stays out while I do them. How is the weather where you live? My daughter lives in California and won't move back home because of the weather. When it's bad here she always rubs it in that it's so much nicer there. I miss the sun when it's out because it makes me feel so much better.

Here comes the sun. . here comes the sun.. and I say it's alright. Little darling, It's been a long, cold lonely winter. Little darling it feels like years since it's been here. Here comes the sun. Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right.
Little darling the smiles returning to the faces. Little darling it seems like years since it's been here. Here comes the sun. Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right.

I don't envy the people in warm weather climates. I lived in Florida for a year; there were chilly days, but they were a sort of miserable cold that seemed to seep into one's bones. The rest of the time, it was too hot and humid... oh, and sunny.
I'm a northerner. Even if we don't stay where we are now (which is possible, since the boyfriend is eying some stuff overseas), I don't ever want to move to another subtropical climate. The northern U.S., Canada and Europe are more my speed.

I wish the sun was cute as that one. I might not leave such heavy curtains on my window then.

It's been unusually warm and mild where I live in central Illinois. Currently I live about 2 hours north of St. Louis and about 4 hours south of Chicago.
When I was a kid, it used to snow starting around Thanksgiving and it'd stick on the ground until mid-late February. Not a little snow, but often 1-3 feet of snow.. or more. And it'd be very frigid.
The weather here is gradually changing. We rarely have snow like that anymore. It was in the 70s four days ago and had been for days. It's supposed to be in the 40s-60s for the next 10 days at least.
The winters here are beginning to feel comparable to those that I experienced when living near the Ocean in Alabama.
