Good day Fellow Mylotters,
In life there is a saying goes, every drop counts. Wherein nowadays for every drop of a coins is really important. Especially now that the season of Christmas is coming. Hence, the prices of commodities are getting higher. But the salary of every people remain the same. That is why, for every amount of money we spend, we should really consider all of the aspect if this thing is really needed and if that thing is worth to be bought. Thus, sometimes, we should consider practicality in what we purchase.

Yes, you are right, we should be very thrifty nowadays most especially those who are like me earning enough everyday. We must see to it first that before we buy or purchase something it is really needed and something valuable and will use last longer. We should be wise these days.

That's the universal truth for these days sheila. With this rate of increasing commodities, I seriously can't agree more than this with you. And after I started working , I have realized it to a greater extent and it is really hard to meet the ends with the salary that we get in our hands. I just wonder when these prices of the commodities and things will come to the range which could be met by a common man!

Yeah, when the festive season began, all we can do is watch our money flow like a melted ice. It will be good if we can cut our budget here and there. Currently my little brother is petitioning to go to water park. Well, a day's playing in the pool is every kid's dream, but it's like nightmare to parents. Not like I'm the one paying. ![](/Content/images/emotes/whistle.gif)

Very well said ! Time like this , it calls not for one's extravagance but his practicality. All are rising , we have brothers who are starving , homeless families
we need to reflect as to how can we of help to our fellows. With the amount we have at hand , we need to stretch it well for our basic needs , for the needs of others. We need to share a little of what we have , it is our obligation to feed those who are hungry and homeless. Morally we are obligated. We need to share and save a little also for tomorrow. Inorder to save a little , we must know how to identify needs from wants. Crash out the wants and go for needs only. Forget the whims of life , remember our brothers who needs are the basic that is they can eat and have a home. Us ? We have a home , we wanted more ,an aircon to be more convenient . See the difference ?

You're pretty right there friend! But also, it must not be counted but also valued. :) Sad fact about money is it somehow dictates our lives. Money is indeed a decision factor. Other individuals are deeply enticed with this thing that they eventually forgot to be humans. Figurative description.

Yes, it is important to spend wisely. I moved to a new place and trying to decorate my dining room. I am very careful on what I spend on the decor. I think I can add decor that doesn't have to cost a lot and yet make my dining room very inviting and with a warm feeling. I am not buying just anything, but taking my time to make my dining room a beautiful room. With the season of Christmas, I have greatly limited the number of Christmas gifts I give to my family and friends. Instead, I give to trustworthy charities. I prefer to share a good time with family and friends instead of buying each other gifts we really don't need nor want. We do need to be wise in how we spend our money.

Yah...even when eating, I always think what should I eat? Bread or rice, cos bread are cheaper, right? I don't care what people say, some say I am poor but at least I have a little bit to myself. So yes, every penny counts! Let's save before its too late.

indeed. i guess, we should just smile to those people who sometimes gives unsolicited comments. anyway, bread and rice are almost the same, hence, they both give carbohydrates whenever you eat any one of them. and aside from that, they are both good for the body. so either of the two will do.

You are right that every penny counts. After all it is money, and better than nothing, and I have found that it all adds up over time anyway, and that is the main thing. I don't make all that much online, and trying to find other ways to make money, but I am really glad that I am making anything at all, there are plenty of scams out there, and I have been scammed before, so when new sites come online, I have a tendency to jump wholeheartedly into it, without realizing it might not be a good site, and that the admin doesn't pay. I will say though, that the ones I did get scammed by, I didn't have any money invested, so I wasn't out that anyway. I only do a few other sites besides mylot, and like I siad, it isn't all that much, but as long as I am going to get paid, i am going to keep doing them. Take care, and happy mylotting. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

There is no doubt about it that every cent counts. I myself don't keep any coins at any time as I prefer to give it to charity where it goes to better use but when you are purchasing and can save $1 here and a $1 there at the end it can add up and pay off your cell-phone bill for the month, electricity perhaps etc and hey every cent saved means you can purchase that dream house sooner.

Yes, me too, mylot has become my piggy bank. I can not save from salary because it is just enough for the monthly expenses.. but I do save all coins that I see. If I drop one, I will find it. I don't just let go of it.

100% agreement is all I can give to that discussion!
There is also a saying that, a million is not a million without a centavo wherein its usually said when people picked up a cent. So that person value every inch of their money really great!

Ever since I was a kid, I've valued every penny I had. And I've continued doing so till this day especially since I'm earning it and not just given to me by my parents. Smart spending is how we would be able to cope with the rising prices of commodities.
