Never Enough Time

United States

Along with the holiday season comes the hustle and bustle of having so much to do. It seems are days gets longer, our nights get shorter right along with our patience. It seems like our to do list is never going to end and how the heck are we supposed to relax and enjoy the season. With that in mind I remembered this quote by Charles Buston, a british writer. "You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it." Your thoughts?

I agree "You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it." yes in this modern days a person don't have time for himself. No time to eat no time to sleep. I don't understand what are we made for. There is time for everything but we are not realizing it. we are just lost somewhere. If we act correctly we have everything just in front of us. But we are so busy in other things and are not able to see that.

I am glad to hear that I am not alone in my feeling about not having enough time. I often feel like I am just going in circles and not accomplishing very much.

Charles Roberts Buxton... So may times we spend our day running around and declaring we don't have time for all the things we want to do that we forget each of us have 24 hours in a day no more no less. How we choose to use those hours is up to us. Time simply exists and it is constantly evolving. New time will never be make. If you want something badly enough, you will have simply make time for it to fulfill your own needs. So many times

This is so true. I wonder if we find ourselves in these situations due to bad planning or taking on too much and expecting too much.

Hello enjoythejourney, I didnt know Charles Buston thought it before. But I think in this fact all day. I love to study, read, do brodery and exercise. But I´m a stay-at-home-mom and I have time for nothing, otherwise I make the time for it. I have to take from the tree what I need. Blessings enjoythejourney... dainy

That's true. If you want time you can have it if you would just learn how to let go of other things that make you busy. Like if you want to have more time with your family, then you let go of the overtimes you do at work so you can be with them earlier in the evening. Also, be able to give them a time to bond with you.

You were wrong thinking that the nights are short during the holiday season, particularly on December. The nights, or the dark period of the whole 24 hours are actually longer, the reason for which it is colder since the time by which the sun gives off heat is shorter. As for your woes of running short of time implementing your to-do list, you were right with the word RELAX. You are just among the people who take the holidays seriously and worry too much. Relax...

I envy you. Good time management skills and planning ability is really a wonderful skill to possess. As much as I have tried to use them I can't seem to master them. I always seem to allow stuff to get in the way. I guess I should follow your lead and try harder.
