Five senses

Most of us have five basic senses, are you at all interested in what goes on beyond those five senses? I guess hearing is one of our most limited ones, wouldn't you like to be able to hear what goes on beyond our hearing range? Me I'd really like to see more light, we know it's out there just beyond our reach. How about you, what would you reach for to extend your senses?

I think all of my senses are working equally fine, but definitely I would like my hearing to be more powerful so that it can hear even the tiniest of the words said by other people who might be 6 or 7 feet away from me!! That way I will be able to know if the other people are talking about me or not and if they are talking about me, then I will basically hear what they said :D

I would really like to have a sense of touch that is more sensitive than I have right now. I mean I know that there are times that my sense of touch is very sensitive, but there are also other times that I feel like my sense of touch is lacking. I just think it would be neat to be able to feel every time that something touches you, like if there is a mosquito on your skin you would be able to feel it to swat it off before it bites you.

Sometimes having too powerful listening skills can have it's disadvantages in that you can hear things that you weren't supposed to hear, or people criticizing you or saying nasty things about you thinking that you cannot hear them from afar, with extra hearing range you would be able to hear! Although that can have its benefits too. Finding out stuff, being forewarned, and more alert.

I would like hearing just enough to hear conversations when I want to hear them. When you want to be a fly on the wall at times. I would like to have that extended sense.

Since I woke up partially deaf a couple of months ago I now wear two hearing aids and I hate them because I swear I can hear conversations a block away when I'm outside. We always worry about getting disease but it never crosses our minds that we could wake up deaf one morning for no reason at all.

I only hope I won't inherit my mum old age deafness when I reach her age. The powerful antenna of hearing aids is making her uncomfortable. Suddenly she feels her surroundings become noisy when her hearing aids are plugged in. Yes I would wish that my eyesight is better without having to put on specs.

I think that would be interesting to go beyond out senses. Imagine being able to hear what is really going on beyond our hearing. That would be great in a way. But I also feel that it can become a bad thing as well.
