how long do you spend time online? Do you give up some hobbies because of your online activities? For me, I have noticed I spend so much time online after work, I tried to finish my chores so I have more time surfing the net!

I'm particularly addicted to this site so I gave up many other sites just to have more time here. There are of course offline activities I have to attend to, so my limited free time online is mostly dedicated here. I enjoy it so much, sometimes I don't even mind giving up sleep just to be here.

Yeah, this is only my first year here. I understand you've been here since the early days of this site. And I notice that you have only recently come back to being active again...

It depends on what you do online. I am online because of work and other earning sites. myLot is paying but it is more of a stress reliever for me and enjoyment. When you're serious in making online activities, you should have a schedule even if you're only at the comfort of your home. I am online almost 15 hours a day and sometimes more. It depends on the schedule that I'm making. I gave up few hobbies that really eats my time like cross stitching and focused on a more productive activity. I also multitask to keep up with my schedule.

You are right.A lot of people nowadays are working full time online. I was a full time mylotter too in the past, I enjoy it as well as I tried hard to really earn! lol! Now that I have a full time job, I still visit mylot, I love the interactions with people!

I spend time on the internet when my son is watching tv and sleeping... when he wants to watch his favorite youtube videos... i let him and then i do household chores... we have wi fi... two laptops and 1 pc... but since the kids are growing... they are now asking for their own internet time... especially my eldest... but even if that is the case... we still make it a point to have time away from online activities...

I've been trying very hard not to spend more than 5 or 10 minutes online each night Monday-Thursday. But when the weekend comes, I think I make up for lost time. I don't usually do much Friday night because I'm too tired. But Saturday and Sunday are online marathon days. Hasn't been unusual for me to spend 6 hours or more a day online.

Love that discipline. I really need to reformat my online schedule to allocate some of my time in other stuff that I need to accomplish too!

Hi! There is no fixed or allotted time for on line activities. My priority remains to finish tasks in hand and when am done with, then only I think about going on line. When I am on line I do check up what is happening on mylot and if time permits, respond to a few discussions.

Maybe 2,3 hours or more. Its never consistent. Some days it might be all of 5 minutes. Other days, I may never turn on the computer at all. One time it was 8 hrs for a design contest. I certainly don't give up any hobbies as the internet actually helps me to keep it up in some way. As a reader who can't make it to the library much of the time, there are free books available to me online. There are stores online to purchase dolls and other things I might collect. We just have to use our time wisely. There use to be a virtual world site which is now closed. I think it was Virtual magic kingdom er something like that. They shut their site down at a certain time each day and limited the amount of time they stayed open. I think every site should get into this practice.

I am a stay at home mom and my only form of enjoyment is being online. Well, I try to find work online as well. As with my hobbies? Well, I really enjoy writing. That is why I feel in love with Mylot.

Hi che! Before I started working online, it's okay with me if I could not go online for a week. But when I started working online, I think I' going to get sick if I cannot log in to my accounts for a day. With myLot, I spend the biggest fraction of my free time. And yes, there are so many activities that I gave up because of this. But no regrets. I love what I am doing right now.

Honestly, way too much. The problem is that I need to be online at work all the time. And after work I'm glued to my computer again. Well, I guess that's 'normal' nowaydays :) Most of the people I know do the same. But on the other side being online has become one of my favorite hobbies I wouldn't wan to miss. So I did not give up a hobby but replaced it with a new one. Furthermore, you can be productive and even earn money with this 'virtual' hobby what you can hardly ever do with a 'real life' hobby.
