Michu - is he the buy of the season?

Although he was on the losing side against Norwich on Saturday Swansea's Michu is surely proving to be the bargain of the season. Laudrup has said he is not for sale despite interest being shown by several clubs, Napoli included. He was bought for £2.2m but Laudrup now values him nearer to £30m. Not a bad bit of business1

I think whether Michu scores another goal this season or not, he has been undoubtedly the buy of this season so far. Not only his goals, but his endeavor in the midfield has been one of the reasons for success of Swansea's season so far. And when you see that Andy Carrol cost Liverpool a whole lot of money and did not score as much as Michu nor provide anything in the midfield, Michu at 2.2m is a steal!!

He would be be in contention for the buy of the season but he faces strong competition from Van Persie. As for being the bargain of the season, Michu wins hands down. Almost an unknown, he is now a hot shot and expect many big clubs to coming knocking on the door. I read that Swansea has place a 30million price tag on him but I doubt it will deter the likes of Man City and Chelsea, especially is Michu maintain his goal scoring exploits.

As a Swansea fan, I am going to have to agree that Michu is the buy of the season. He is the top scorer in the PL ahead of players that cost 50 million euros. I am really happy he is at Swansea, but I really hope they don't sell him...and Laudrup said he's not for sale at any cost.

Michu is definitely the bargain buy of the season. With 12 goals in 16 games, he not only assures the Swan's survival in the Premier League, they may even be able to challenge for a place in Europe. It was revealed that there were four EPL clubs who did not sign the player when he was offered for free to them a season ago before Michu joined Rayo Vallecano and became their top scorer.
Miguel Pérez Cuesta, Michu's real name, will be wanted by a lot of top teams like Spurs and Liverpool in the January window. Even at £30million, with the form that he has had, he is going to be a very hot transfer target.
It will be a good chance for him to actually win something if he joins a top club. Who knows, he may even be able to get the chance play for the Spanish national team.

The amount of football talents that Spain produces is frightening. They have so many outstanding players that a Spain B team is certainly as good as the A team. They will keep dominating world football for decades to come.
Michu should take the chance to join a big team if he wants to be a real star. With no disrespect to Swansea, Michu needs a team with a strong squad to win honors and be champions. Swansea will do well to be in the top eight if their players can remain injury-free and play consistently well.
A midfielder that scores regularly is worthy of a gold in Fantasy football! Michu was supposed to play as the shadow striker behind the main man but somehow he was asked to play in the front - that is how he was classified as a midfielder in FF.

Yes, he's even better as a Fantasy League player as he is still classed as a midfielder inmany of those,despite being top scorer-and playing as a striker-in the EPL! Competition for places in the Spanish national team is fierce but he certainly merits serious consideration. He has performed well against some of the top sides in the EPL as well -including a virtuoso performance away at Man City where he was unlucky not to score.
