i almost breakdown and cry the moment i saw our pound for pound boxer fell on his defeat against Mexican boxer MARQUEZ. i do not question marquez victory. he really won. it is just that it is very painful for a Filipino like me to see our legendary boxer being defeated. it is not shameful but i hurts specially during this time that a lot are seeking for hope from the crisis brought by typhoon pablo to our fellow natives. i am not a fan of boxing. but, when it comes to pacquaio, i always watch it. every punch is heart breaking, every rounds are breath taking. that is how it is. pacquaio is not just a boxer. for us, he is a hero. a hero that brought us pride among other nations. a hero that made us proud for being filipino for more than a decade.

Manny Pacquiao was on top of the line of boxers in his division. He was legally toppled down by Marquez the Mexican who was next in line. Pacquiao's unlikely defeat made all Filipinos shed tears of sorrow and bewilderment and gave the Mexicans brimful of happiness from the fans in the ring up to the inner recesses of the forest in Mexico. God has a hand in this particular development. HE knows it best why HE grant Pacquiao this humiliating debacle. Do you know that all Filipinos, Michael Farinas and Mercito Gesta who were eyeing for a title that same night got all defeated. You may not agree with me but supertyphoon "Pablo" was a bad omen. The only consolation we got was the undercard wins of Filipinos Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr. and Ernie Sanchez. Defeat is a call to reexamine, refocus and to rearm as well as to reinforce faith in the great Almighty.
