Referral Links

Do you ever get some messages from members here concerning a referral link of theirs to another site to make money from without asking for it? I got another one the other day and have had to ignore it as I'm not into writing like the link referred me to. I also got into a argument (almost) when I first started here and using some other ladies referral link for her click to pay sight or whatever that was. I find it annoying when people try to force those on you, don't you?

I get unwanted referral links from various users as well. It's awkward and disturbing to see them. The ethical practise here is to get permission from an user before sending a referral link. Why can't they just follow the code? I got one yesterday too. I simply deleted it. Is there a way to report an unwanted PM as spam?

How if I send you PM to check my profile and register to a site that you aren't a member yet. In return, I'll give you RCB up to 65%. Would you delete it? I send somekind like that yesterday to couple of my friendlist.

Depends upon how well I know you and my mood. Yesterday's PM sender was someone whom I don't know at all and I never had any interaction with him/her ever. If someone like that PMs me a referral link, it is surely going to be deleted. Not you though.

Nail, yes that's true. That's why I said earlier that it also depends on how well I know the person who sends me a referral link. Known faces (avatars in this case ) and good friends are always welcomed though.

I have been on Mylot for about six years now and I have gotten several of these. I write them back and tell them I do not except these and if get anymore they will be deleted AND reported. I think there is a large percentage of members who are just on this site to further their businesses and I don't like it! The place for them are on their profiles and then we can chose whether we want to be a party to it or not.

Yes there are alot of the members who just go on here to spam folks like us who want to actually use the site for other things like making some change here and there.

Ya, they obviously weren't around from the beggining and saw all the changes this site has been through. They will be deleted from my list.

I have gotten plenty of these... And I find them to be SUPER annoying! I often go to my friends list and remove the person. I don't need nor want to be part of any other sites. I like where I am here at MyLot. I have no desire to go anywhere else...

Yep, they are quite annoying. If you are happy here then this is where you stay. It is one of the best sites in my opinion as well.

i can't really blame them because they wanted to earn more. I can understand that. Don't worry about it. If you really don't want to involve yourself in such you can always choose to ignore them. You won't lose anything. They can't really force you, because you have the ability to make your own decisions. I have received such emails before sometimes I try to visit the site where the link leads me to and if I see it as good then I join but if not then I just forget about it.

I agree some take this as to get some refferals but before that they should realize that some are not really interested in them so they should confirm before sending any links.

Yes I do all the time. I hate that. Its spam to me. i guess we should report them to adm. here. I dont mind links if I ask for them. But lately Ive gotten some from people I never knew.

If they are very persistant I would report them, but in this case I'm too lazy to go through with it. If it bothers me enough I will though if they act like they are being a big pain.

I got some, and when a friend ask for it. I'll visit their referral link. But if is from anonymous, I'll ignore it.

Yes, I see what you mean. It is better to go to them if you know them pretty well in some cases. Otherwise they are just spamming you through this site.

I have experience this one time , If I dont ask dont give me . It is totally different is I directly ask for referral link are I am interested in a site and you suggest using your link I would not mind. If anyone try to force anything on me , I would just ignore them because I will not let them hassle me .

I know, if you ask for the link it is a different kind of approach. I'm sure some people are desparate for referrals and I understand that too.

To be honost, I just get one today. But I send a PM like that to couple of my friendlist. For me, it's OK. Cause I could ask them to do some exchange.

If you exchange them that is fine. I had someone ask me about slicethepie which I was talking about and then they sent me back a huge list of money making sites, which I looked through too.

Hi friend, i too get this kind of mails previously, but now i am free from this kind of spams. Surely this kind of mails are annoying. I will ignore this mails as well as delete the sender from my friends list to avoid spams. Better you too do this and remove the spammer from your friend list

I just ignored the message. I might delete the friend too soon as soon as I find how to do that. It can't be too hard.

I never received such messages yet, though I saw some members here posting their referral links in the discussions they make but I notice that these people who do these things are very new and maybe did not read the FAQs and guidelines. For me, when I try to invite someone to join to a certain site under my link, I ask as if it's optional. Never forced someone, that's desperation!

There are a lot of people who unprofessionally post their referral links anywhere even if it is prohibited to do so. I am an online earner too but I don't post my links anywhere, I make an article or blog and I posted it there so people can choose to join or not to join my site without being forced.
