The bitter truth about life.

Hi! This is too common with Indians. They literally "use" each other during their need and turn back if the other person needs them. I am totally against it. I have seen many people, even some of my friends who contact me only when they need me. And i do not find it wrong to say it to them directly, in fact, they accept it because they themselves know the truth. As far as relationships go, 'love' i mean, there again comes various customs and traditions in between two lovers which make them eventually break them apart like enemies. Personal experience. So, there remains only family members who understand us but still there are disputes between them..such are Indians..

hi, yes that is so true now a days that you will be depend on how they need you for their needs and their mood,and everyone have a different judgement in a person,so for me i could say that my family is the only thing that i have as a great thing for me.

I have learnt that we should never take friends or family for granted and to cherish them and appreciate them as much as we can, because no one knows how long they are around for and by then it could be too late. I wish my friend cared for me more than she did Facebook, but sadly I couldn't compete. I did all the giving and she did all the taking, in the end I had to accept that she wouldn't change, life is also too short and too valuable to waste on people that don't have time for us.

I do think that caring for those people in your life that are important to you is one thing that really can make you feel good about your life. However, I also think that in caring about other people comes pain. It isn't pain that you feel all the time, but rather pain that you experience occasionally. Regardless of that, being that we are human beings, there is no way that we are able to turn off the feelings that we have toward other people.

Very true, Kal! Relationships aren't meant for exams. Although, when other people are trying to weigh in on your particular relationship, maybe some should just take a look at theirs. Awesome post.

The things what i have figured from life is , OTHERS OPINION SHOULDNT MATTER TO YOU. We spend a lot of time convincing others to like us and why ? Is that important ? Do you really want someone in your life who had to convince to like you ? I wouldnt want one. Only your family and close friends matter besides them dont bother. But yes i would agree on the fact that you have to fake it at times but only for a selfish reason and not just to please someone .

i don't think that people have to care for other more than themselves. you should care for your friends just as much as you do yourself. you are right, though. the love i have with my family is priceless.

What you say is true and I sadly found out a lot of truths about relationships when my son was seriously injured. Many people who say that they are friends and will walk with you no matter what cannot handle the load a caregiver has to carry each day. Even though they may have meant well, they cannot handle adversity with you.

Precisely , Kalyni , some people would love you according to their need and mood. But no matter what, it is the family that can love you unconditionally.

You are right aunty no matter how the person is beautiful but they talk with us according to their mood recently I check yesterday my younger MIL's son marriage was there and lots of goods and golds are came from girls family because her family is rich family and single daughter. My younger MIL talking toning is changed and feel proud woooo my son get good girl and lots of ornaments also. But I feel only our husband earning is important not girl's family members money is important. Because it may be spend with in a year but our husband income will always help us even less or more no important. I think everyone is happy in their house even they have less money but heart is big.

We may have the best of everything but we don't have a family to be with, still life is empty. While it is true that we can't have everything in this world but having a family that will love us is already one precious thing that we should treasure. Have a nice day!

I love this line , 'they will love you according to their need and mood ' So , for some people their love is conditional. This is a self centered love , loving a person because of own vested interest. True love is not "I " but "YOU " . It is selfless .

I think you are right, , , but the most important thing is you must take care your family first , , then your friend , and then the other people,why? Because the person that always care of you even you fail and pass, the first people that care of you is your family, and about your friend and the other people you must care of them without no expecting anything to return, that's will make you happy, because help or do something good to another peoples is like plant a good " karma ".
