I just had to report 2 discussions from the same person saying the same thing...from Uganda and needs money desperately. I did reply to the first one saying the discussion will be deleted and told him/her that we can't just give our email address and ask for money. With all the Uganda spams that around I couldn't believe what I was readying. There are just as many if not more people in the USA and other countries who need money. We all have hardships that we have to live with. Do you know anyone who is rich and just doles out money to strangers? Of course not. The rich stay that way because they keep their money close to them in banks. Please tell me you are aware of scams like this. I can't imagine anyone using the internet doesn't know one when they see it!

I think anyone who has been on the internet for any length of time they know a scam when they see one.

Seem like these scam artists are no longer content in just sending spam emails... they have no infiltrated mylot... i hope they get deactivated here... i was also scammed in the past... through the internet... and the main lesson that i learned is that... if the offer is too good to be true... then it is a scam... If i chance upon a discussion like that... i will surely report them too... this is not the site for them... so we need to make mylot clean and safe from these scammers...

I'm sure mylot admin is on top of these scams and the person will lose his membership here. Your right...with all the email scams we shouldn't have to deal with that here.

People like that must be reported immediately. Most of them are scams. We can help but with all the scams here and there, it is hard now to believe who's lying and who's not. And I agree with you, each one of us have hardships in life.

This was actually the first one I've come across. I read a couple of discussions mentioning someone asking for money and I hope they weren't naive enough to to along with it. I don't doubt these people are in dire straits but there's really nothing any of us can do to help.
