I know this may sound funny but I've thought of this many times and I just really want to know what are your opinions on this matter.. Is there any "good luck" belief of using square figures in business? Please share your ideas...

I agree with you, Guit. I cannot imagine how long it would take to make a round box. Yet a square box can be made by a toddler with a little help. It is also easier to store.

That's true, if both the pizza and the box were round it would be much more difficult to get the pizza slices out the box -- good point!
Plus, with a square box there is room for the pizza shop to put things like containers of garlic/butter dip in the corners!

I guess I never even thought of that! It had never really occurred to me before. I think square boxes are just much easier to make. A round box seems like it might be a little more complicated, and the pizza places probably just want whatever is the simplest and quickest to put together!

I think it is a mixture of the two answers that you have already been given though I would say it is more to do with square boxes being easier to produce. The easier a product is to manufacture the cheaper it is to manufacture. Thus improving the profits for the manufacturers and overheads for the people that sell takeaway pizza. It's got to be a good thing for the customer as if the boxes cost more im positive the costs would be passed on to the customer.
