How do you feel when some one misunderstands you?It hurts more when you really don't get the clue of this misunderstanding.someone calling you by the wrong name!
You are not cunning, opportunist or plans nothing wrong about the person.
It hurts! The wound which is not visible....

It depends on the person, the subject. Some people are just not able to understand what you mean. One of the reasons can be different culture or education or language. The only thing that is frustrating me very much is schools/teachers not able to understand what I mean or how my children are. People who claim to know everything (even they have no children, no experience at schools and are younger as my 3 eldest children) just because they "learned for it" (whatever "it" may be). People not willing to learn or not smart enough to get your message and take benefit out of it. But by now I am even that far that I gave up explaining since there is a part who loves to mistunderstand you (on perpose). So after trying hard I give up and leave. It's not worth all my time and energy.

yea misunderstandings can destroy everything. But communication can solve most problems. One should have a heart to heart talk and tell you point of view. Calling of names is bad and more so if you are innocent. Tc.

Of course that would be a shocked if someone calling me names all because of misunderstanding that I never knew the reason why.
Imagine someone will attack you by words- cursing or might be lead to physical all because of misunderstanding... :(
It do happens...and it's really sad :xx

ohh This happens most of the times with me. Yes of course it hurts a lot. There are some friends who really understand me and they say what actually went wrong when someone misunderstand me. Its a big relief.

I've been misunderstood my entire life. It's nothing new to me. Sometimes being misunderstood is a good thing. It leads to interesting things in life that can open up new windows for you. Example, I'm black and listen to metal (always have since I was eight) I've been known around school as the 'oreo' and it stuck. I like it now! Hope this helps rather than hurt.

I agree with you. It does hurt when we are misunderstood by others. Sometimes it is easy for others to get offended or upset with us. Perhaps they are sensitive then we could strive to apologize even when we know that we didn't do anything wrong. It is best to keep the peace.

Sorry, I don't understand a word you are saying. Can't understand what you are trying to explain. Don't misunderstand me, cuz I am just trying to understand what you are saying. Or what you mean. :) If you know that you are not being cunning, nor do you plan to hurt that person, then you know in your heart that your intentions are not to be mean, then don't let it hurt you. If I joke with you and you misunderstand me, then I know that I am just trying to help you not to take a misunderstanding too seriously. Sometimes, you can find the humor as you and the other person sort out what you don't understand. Don't take it personally, but be patient and continue to help the other person understand.

Yes it does hurt, but unless the person it is coming from isn't someone who means so much to you, you shouldn't let it affect you, you don't have to give an effort to People trying to explain yourself to them when they have already judged you anyway. If they did misjudge you, well, then they are missing a great opportunity of having you in their lives. Not to worry, if people do hurt you, take it positively, use it to your advantage, after all, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, :) thanks for sharing your feelings, :)
