As a computer user you should have a knowledge on using it. Off course without it how will the computer run? There's a famous quotation on the Internet it says that "The computer is as smart as the user." It only means that it depends on the individual how will the computer will be running smoothly. If the user is smart as the computer therefore you'll be receiving the benefits you want to have on the computer. It will give you so much information you want to know. But, if the user is not that good for sure the computer will not also be running as you want to be.

I agree with your opinion because its up to the user to make sure they maintain their computer properly. The computer can not work properly if the computer is not cleaned or maintained. That goes both with software and hardware. For example computers need to be cleaned with compressed air once and awhile to keep dust out and have good airflow. Computers need decent security such as a good firewall and anti-virus to keep damaging programs and users out. Computers also need their data maintained every once and a wile to keep performance up.

Definitely computer users should know how to use it. In this way you can know the basics before starting off . It is really annoying to start working on computer and something goes wrong. People with more knowledge about computers can handle these situations well and enjoy. There is a saying that "computer did not make humans, humans made computer" . It totally seems good to know handling computers well before starting because then you can have smooth computing experience.

Hi,
The computer we have today is the end result of a long process of scientific development that started long before we are even born. It usage is limited only to the ability of the user, from plain data encoders and gamers to advanced electronic engineers and programmers. At one's fingertips are actually millions of electronic components ready to tackle anything under the sun: graphic designing, advanced calculations and information storage and retrieval. The computers that sent us to the moon are mere idiots in terms of processor speed and storage space compared to an ordinary laptop we have today yet it is treated like any other ordinary electronic component, its capability untapped and undiscovered by us ordinary mortals.
