When you are open minded, you allow yourself to have new ideas and thoughts and you challenge the believes you already have. Opening your mind to new ideas allows you to new opportunity to change what you think and how can you see the world. And whenever you see the world with an open mind, you need to make yourself vulnerable. And you also need to admit that you really don't know everything but you are still willing to learn. Being open minded allows yourself to see others' perspective, you allow yourself not to recognize potential mistakes you've made but also to make new mistakes.

I agree! One thing I hate are judgements or snap judgements. The two things that cause the inability to be open minded. The easiest way I see how to being open minded is to act as if I know nothing at all until I have the complete picture of what is being presented to me. And even then my perspectives and "knowledge" comes last to avoid the disadvantages of judgement or even some perceptions.

I think people that are open minded are brave, to be skeptical and deny is such a coward thing to do and to ask questions make us never be like we were before them, but we can actually become wiser. Maybe we shouldn't only learn as a kid but our whole lives and never stop questioning, thinking for ourselves, studying, breaking our limits.

It is simply put as allowing yourself to adopt to something outside your comfort zone and getting ready to be part of it and make a difference.
