There is no doubt that India is missing Laxman, Dravid and Ganguly in the middle. Pujara has done a decent job to stake claim for Dravid's place. Similarly, Kohli has done a decent job to stake claim for Laxman's place. But there is still no replacement in sight for Ganguly. What this means is that the middle order currently is brittle and teams are exploiting that. I am afraid we are going through a rebuilding process and this might take some time and cost us some matches!!
Cheers!

Indian Cricket team is not loosing on home but abroad too. The reason you have mentioned may be true but according to me they are heavily burdened by cricket. Secondly they are not getting sufficient rest. and most of the players are not physically fit.

After retirement of such great players like Rahul Dravid and V.V.S.Laxman, there are bound to be some short period when a team would face difficulties. Even Aussies faced this, England, NewZealand, West Indies all have been through such a phase. However, otherwise also, we are failing inspite of having good players. May be, India is losing due to a combination of factors like more prepared and well playing English side, lack of enthusiasm, bowling form dip for Zaheer Khan and of Harbhajan Singh.
Let us hope things get better and Dhoni and Fletcher are able to pull the team out of the situation.

Hi Sakhijan,
Few years back Australia under Alan Border and England under various captains were loosing all the matches because the great players have retired and teams were under transition phase. problem with India is not only Dravid and Laxman retired but those who should also have retired have not and this is putting a big pressure on Indian batting. Bowling is not same since Anil Kumble left but soon Indian transition phase would be over and once again India would perform lot better.

Sakhijan,
Dravid was back bone of Indian batting. Even though Sachin Tendulkar and sorauv did hog the lime light always but it was solidity of Dravid's defese that Indian boat never rocked. Now with him gone and none of our top batsmen are showing any guts to stay at the crease, the team performance is going down. What we need is more application from those who are in team to stay on wicket.
