What is the star all about?

Hey, mylotters and friends! It's been weeks since I last posted a discussion to start with. Anyways, I don't want to sound stupid here but for just a month I really enjoy being updated here as everyday as I could. Well, this discussion is all about the star here in mylot... Please tell of what is that all about. For my first three weeks here I noticed that there is a star beside my username with #9 and 5 days ago I noticed that my star change to #10... What is that all about? Is it a good sign? Does it mean that I am doing good here or else? Please response and forgive me for this sort of stupidity...

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to see you back on this site and i know this is a very common query of most of the people. Even i had this query before.
A star besides your name indicates the level of activeness on this site. A rating of 10 is the highest which means that mylot and other fellow mylotters have loved your work and that is how u got this rating. So u should be glad that u have got a highest rating. So keep working this way and do not concentrate on these ratings.

hi again she meant do not worry but we should all rate each other as the admins has asked us to do and as most everyone does their best I give all a plus each day. you see they want us all to rate so more can have better stars. the higher the stars the better your earnings so yes do rate as a habit the reputations of us all are figured into the mylot algorithm of earnings so you will help to keep o r earnings better by rating as you go along reading the posts. it only takes a few
seconds to do this.

hi you are not stupid but you just did not read the FAQ's that tell you all about how we users rate each others posts either plus for good or minus for not so good or report for abuse. your star is very very good its the top; star a blue ten.
yes so far you are really doing well so now do read the guidelines and the FAQ's to get all that great knowledge to help you to really enjoy mylot and know
how to do things here and how to make discussions that will not get deleted . welcome aboard mylot. mhaiXCs the others have given you the links to read the FAQ's and the guidelines too so have fun here and do enjoy mylotting too.
