One of the Christmas related activities that I truly appreciate when I was young was the belief that Santa Claus would be giving gifts on Christmas day to those children who are doing good things or behaving well all through out the year. I used to believe in this thing and I and my sisters would hang our socks near the window so that it would be easier for Santa to put his gifts for us. The next morning, which is the Christmas Day, we were so excited to get the socks for us to see what Santa has for us.
Truly, these childhood memories are one of the happiest memories I had with Christmas!
Have a nice day everyone!
Merry Christmas to those who believe in the spirit of Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!

I saw him riding in his deer-wagon up north Alaska collecting and gathering all the donated items, he is getting ready to travel around the globe to distribute his gift to all well behaved children including you. Make sure you continue to behave well at least until Christmas; if not, you will be disqualified by Santa Claus and celebrate your Christmas night without a gift from him. ho ho ho ho.......

Hi maria!
It's been years since I haven't been seeing him because my children are teenagers already and I could no longer make some story. he he.
Thank you for the information maria. I'll be on the lookout for his coming since I know I'm behaving well ever since.
Merry Christmas too!

It is not Christmas without a figure named Santa Claus. When I was little I always look forward to Christmas Eve and hope santa will (at least) crossed over my roof Like in the movies I watched, santa will travel around the world to bring Christmas gift, I do not expect a Christmas gift from santa, I only wish to see him even if only for a few seconds over the roof of my house .. lol .. it was an expectation of all young children. I will not claim that Santa is real or not, but santa could give Christmas memories for the little ones. Merry Christmas all

Hi mrswhitfield!
Yeah, you are right. Santa Claus is really a part of Christmas. Just this morning Santa wakes me up by his ho ho ho while inviting everyone in our community to attend the mass at dawn, a part of Christmas Celebration. I've seen him wearing a green clothes right on his sleigh. I was not just able to take a good shot of him because there are lots of people around.

Yes, looking back to our childhood memories helps me better. I also remember that since I would like to see Santa Claus personally, I would stay awake all night but I would fall asleep at the end and when I wake up, its already morning.
Thank you for sharing and have a Merry Christmas!

The magical days of being a child and believing in Santa! When I was told by my mother there wasn't a santa I was crestfallen, you know you can't unsay things, but you really wish looking back that your mum hadn't just told you santa didn't exist, it's like your innocence has been lost and you have to start getting used to real life. I loved my imagination as a child. Merry Christmas to you too dear friend and lets hope 2013 brings us happiness and fulfillment.

I discovered about it myself. Personally, I don't tell my children that there is no such thing, they also discovered it themselves. Well, it's just one fact that we should face reality as we grow older.
But whether Santa will be coming to town or not, Christmas is still in the air and that one cannot be changed even if we grow old.
Merry Christmas too. I know 2013 will be a good year.

I think it is nice to tell the children that the Santa Clause will give them gifts in the Christmas. So they will have something expect and they know Santa Clause will be kind to them. Since they behave well, so they deserve to have extra gifts from the Santa Clause

Hi youless!
Yes that was what my mother used to tell me when I was a kid. Actually, parents are using that as a form of encourage for their children to behave. Very effective indeed!
I also used this kind of mind setting to my children wen they were still younger.

I do believe that Christmas needs to be magic for children. It needs to be a special time for them. When children have been given and filled with a happy childhood, they are more likely to be happy and caring grownups. Merry Christmas to All.
