Thinking for Oneself

Last night as I was watching TV I noticed that every commercial was telling us what to eat, what to drink, what to drive what to wear and even what to think. No longer are the advertisers just promoting their products but they now are letting us know we are somehow incomplete unless we have their product. And that reminded me of this quote. "Thinking is like loving and dying. Each of us must do in for himeself." Josiah Royce, Philospher Your thoughts?

i agree. when the commercials come on, i either get up and walk out of the room or turn the sound off. i think they are so annoying.

and have you noticed almost everything they want us to eat is not good for us? So many commercials from Burger King, McDonalds and Wendys. No wonder we have so many obese people...they live on junkfood. I love the quote! Think for yourself people!
