Last March, I gave to my brother a cell phone "HTC Desire S". During the summer he'll leave on the towel when pulled all the phone fell to the ground and broke the glass. My brother bought another, but that, as good, I wanted to fix. Only now, since last July, finally the phone was repaired. My brother, at this point, not having need, he gave it to me. After a few hours that I work for I learn to use it, I realized that the microphone does not work, so for this reason, I can not call! Now the repair of the glass is already costing a lot. Now even the microphone that does not work, deserves to be brought back to assistance them, spend more money for its repair. But unfounded, it is perhaps worth? For this reason, I was almost meditating on not even repair it and buy a new one next month when I get my allowance.

If it really costs you a lot with regards to the repair expenses, if I were you, I would rather buy a new cellphone with the price range that I had spent on the repair. Since most cell phones nowadays doesn’t cost that much and has more capabilities.

Well, you should know that at this moment, I told my mom that the phone broke, I want to throw away. She replied, in her turn, that it is a gibberish! What's wrong with this?

Probably that was just a metaphorical statement of your Mother telling you that it's a waste, and you should a new one.

Well, I guess repairing it may not be practical anymore. Perhaps when the phone fell, it also damage some parts not only the glass. I think the best thing to do right now is get a new phone and make sure you handle it well.

Well, I know something of the possible free repair under warranty, just after Christmas. In every way, I remain firm in my idea to buy a new cell phone in January.

Yes. I think it is not practical anymore of repairing a mobile phone because you can anyway purchase a new one at a cheaper price.

Well, in fact, as you have read from my previous comments, I'm really considering this alternative. However, the thing that I regret is that the phone "HTC Desire S", cost me the beauty of € 199 (about $ 260) just last March. But finally all accounts, everything must change!

I think it's better to get a new one. HTC lcd is very costly as it's made of glass and very sensitive unlike the gorilla glass being used by samsung and iphone. I was a bit surprised that you had it repaired. I wouldn't because I don't think anybody in the Philippines would repair it.

Well, actually, this morning, I brought it to the assistance of mobile phones, as it is still under warranty (the warranty in Italy, of a product worth 2 years). If I fix it for free ok. Otherwise, in January I buy a new one.

It seems that these days, many people have the issues with the cellphone. I don't know why. For me, most of the time, I received wrong number call. I don't believe many people could be key in the numbers wrongly. Could it be connection malfunction or what? Anybody out there got any explanation?

Well, once this problem was also the case in fixed telephony. A person denounced the "then" TELECOM (Italian telephone company). I do not know who took this issue lapel. However I do not ever receive with the phone, calls from unknown numbers. But since they took the field smartfone full-touch screen (which are practically computer, in effect), often are blocked and require a reset. Thing with traditional equipment, did not happen.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and i know it must be painful for u when your brother broke his cell phone by mistake. I think accidents do happen and i think u should forget that entire incident. Now it would be foolishness if u spend money for repairing that cell phone as u can get a good cell phone with that money only. So better sell that old cell phone and get a new one. That would be best for u at present. What say?

Well I think of all I could for the month of January, to consider the idea of ??buying a new one for me. So forget the incident to my brother (who still does not take much care of the gifts made ??to him), and start over!
