I got a $100.00 ticket for parking on my front lawn. My Dad called and told them very nicely (hear the sarcasim), to come show him the property line, my car was parked up at the front of the house (you could fi 3 cars before hitting the property line). My sister got a ticket for parking in the same spot as well. The last 3 days my two seperate neihbours had parked at the end of our street on the road. You cannot park between November 12th - April 12th anywhere on town property whether during the day or night. I took pictures of it with the date on it, I didn't see a ticket on them the first two nights. So I called the township and told them why should the two of us park on our property and get $100.00 tickets, yet they park there and get nothing. If someone drives down our street you can hear it and see it (my Dad has been working on his car and said noone has driven down our street). It's now day 4 and they are still parked there, so I called the township as well as my father and let's say my father is not the nicest (I say if you think I am a biatch you should meet my Dad). He said either come giver both them tickets for illegally parking or take out tickets away since they obviously don't follow the laws. I went up to the office got a copy of the bylaws in this township nowhere does it state I can't park on my own property whether its not on the grass or not. So I left a message with the bylaw officers, to show me exactly where it states this, and why my neighbours get special treatment, or else I will go higher over his head. I even got the road crew that works along side of him to look at the two cars parked on the road. My Dad has been calling them all day, reporting my neighbours saying not once have they been out in 4 days, one of these days he was obviously here on our front lawn writing a ticket (so how did he miss the car out on the road).

That is not right at all, they should either give them tickets too or make you not have to pay( and your sister). I would not get off their cases until they did if I had the power to. You have a right to feel like you do, go as much over their head as you can. Why should your neighbors get special treatment and your family doesn't. I'm glad your dad is helping you with this some too, he should man up and do that for his daughters.

I wont stop until they take it back, as I was not on public property, and they insist that we were. I have pointed about another 4 cars in the neighbourhood on the road. I will keep harrassing them.

They aren't being fair at all and really if they don't ticket them and yet ticket you it's as if they are favoring the ones who are ACTUALLY breaking the law. Keep documenting and keep calling and complaining. If you have to, take a picture of where you park your car every day and make sure it's always time stamped.

Wow that is completely ridiculous. Sounds like they are picking on your guys for some reason instead of punishing everyone. I cannot imagine why you would be fined for parking on your own property that is worse then just getting a ticket for parking on the street. Crazy. I hope they drop the fine and this mess can be over with.

Now that sure doesn't sound too fair..what the heck. If you can't park on the street, where do they want you to park? I would imagine other people have more than one car and need to move them all back and forth in the driveway when someone else wants to get out. I often thought where I live, we're not allowed to park on the street in the winter months. Our parking lot is pretty full and I wonder where are they suppose to park if the parking lot is full. I think they should rescind your tickets and give them to the people on the street, not you.

That sounds really frustrating. Getting tickets like that when others seem to be given a blind eye to. It doesn't really make much sense if your neighbours are breaking the law in a more obvious way while you are the ones getting the ticket.

consider this issue as a discrimination and unfair :( just an opinion frm me. you should never let this go. you and your family member deserve the parking.. grab some pic with camera and give them proof!
