I haven't been on MyLot for nearly 2 weeks...I got caught up in a huge quilt giveaway...quilt bloggers joining in and having a give away and all I had to do was leave a comment...I entered about 250 of them and won 2. Wished for more, but hey, better than nothing and I got 3 huge spools of the Arufil thread and christmas charm pak and 6 fat quarters of browns....so many others I would have liked more, but again..hey, better than nothing.
Then I thought I'd be back this week,,,but found another give away and spent these last 3 days entering those..drawing is this saturday. I hope I win some more...I have never won anything like this in my life so it si pretty cool and I found some great blogs for inspiration and help and all that. Not a bad weeks work if I do say so myself, but...have to get back to quilting tomorrow..have my grand son's quilt to finish...his christmas gift. I hate the top FMQ stitching on a twin size quilt...so I keep putting it off!
But I am also seeing things I am planning to do next year..ie take those charm s I just won and make a christmas quilt for next year!

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun.
I have been crocheting a lot lately. I find it good for my hands and good for my nerves. I found some free patterns online for some christmas decorations so I made some of them up and have been selling them at my daughters yard sale. I need to get her a building and set her up in business. She has developed a real talent for this. We used to sell at flea markets and auctions all the time when they were kids. She used to hate it then but has decided now that she is older that it is really fun.

Sounds great! I used to crochet but only afghans and made one for everyone and didn't have any reason to continue to make them. I still have the 3 I made for myself, and the one my daughter gave back to me...that I made in the 80's while watching Dallas and Falcon Crest and other shows!
Sounds like a good plan to sell your stuff. Maybe checkout swap meets in your area. There is this one "thrift" store..that sells on consignment that I have found..they have wonderful "old stuff" and antiques etc. I am going to ask them if they would accept my quilts. I didn't see anything like that in there, but maybe no one has them to sell!
My daughter is kind of the same way with her 12 yo daughter. When she was growing up...she hated baking and some crafts... but now...she and her daughter bake things and do crafts...and every year they do a felt gingerbread house (purchased at craft store) and bake cookies etc. Never thought I'd see the day!

Oh hope so! I talked to this lady that owns a consignment shop and she said, sure bring them in! She said she has never sold anything like that before so she couldn't say the market for them but I am going to make a few and take them and see how it goes! I would love to be able to sell them. I could sure use the income and how cool to be earning while doing something I love and gives me "therapy"!

You should do quite well selling your quilts. When I was selling at auctions I would notice that any old quilt, no matter what kind of condition would bring quite a lot of money. Quilting has been a dying art that has recently come back in favor. I wish I had the patience to do it.

Sounds like you have been having a great time without us! LOL.....I would do the same if they were giving away things for stamping....I did do some sewing for an order for Christmas....but by the time I was done making all the mitts I was kinda sick of it.....at your suggestion I did check out the fabric (Christmas) at JoAnn's last weekend...its so tempting!

Oh, I know jill...I walk those isles just looking! I always always always wait for the sales or use coupons and get things at least 50% off if not more...with a 20% off entire purchase coupon and a 50% off coupon on everything else...quite the savings!
I won two of the drawings...took 2 weeks to get each, and not really thrilled with them..well, the thread is cool, and the one is fat quarters of christmas theme prints so I will have those to make a quilt this next year for next christmas, but the other fat quarters....eh. Really odd patterns...I guess you'd call them "old lady" prints... I have heard that description before! Paisly or something like that...not very usable for a quilt block in my opinion cause they are larger patterns and boring colors! But oh well...I'll figure out something...maybe do a swap with someone else!
Then the next week.. another site had a drawing for the week to so I entered those...they end tomorrow so we'll see!
