Will a 3D model blu-ray player work on a Non 3D HD model TV?

I'm thinking of upgrading my standard model Blu-ray player to a 3D model I hear their amazing and make TV viewing more fun, but my TV is a standard HDTV, so I'm not sure if the 3D effect will work as well on my standard Model TV, so of course I thought I'd see if any of you knew the answer to this question though the answer might be obvious to some it's not so obvious to novice electronic users. Question will a 3D model Blu-ray player have the same performance if the device is used with a standard HD model TV?

Normally 3D blu-ray will not show anything in 3D on regular TVs, but it will work fine on 2D TV. 3D is only for part time entertainment, additionally you will need glasses for 3D, when HDTV is much better for any regular program.

Why don't you ask that in the shop where you will buy it? They can advice you plus if the advice is wrong and the player useless you can take it back.

this is right too, customer must ask everything before purchase, but again, now shopkeepers and other sellers are more interested in selling their products than costumer satisfaction
