Cal State University Fullerton Under Lockdown!

One of my friends was trapped in the Cal State University Fullerton Library Basement during the CSUF Lockdown tonight, Wednesday, December 12, 2012, and he finally got out of there after being in there for eight hours.
He was giving us minute-to-minute updates as to what was going on, and he was starving because he hadn't anything to eat before he went in there. I told him to hit the nearest In N' Out when he finally got out of there and get something to eat since In N' Out is open 24/7.
It was one heck of a lockdown, and I think that he learned to keep something with him from now on.
On top of all of this, it is now raining outside.

what happened that caused a lock down? i dont get it. is it a regular thing? i think i missed something on the news.

No, there were two shooters on campus, and students were told to stay inside their buildings until they could find the gunmen. It was a pretty scary situation, not to mention that they were in lockdown from about 3pm to almost 12am. My poor friend was really hungry when it was over.
