Our mom had an operation this afternoon.

She had appendicitis. Our elder sister called us this morning and tried to ask us if we could get home and accompany our mom in the hospital. Our usual problem at work is they are not that considerate. They don't know emergencies. They thought that we are always lying. I'mglad that one of my sisters got absent from her work. Our eldest. Her eldestdaugter accompanied her, too. My youngest sister and I will go to the hospital on weekend. It will be our turn to watch our mom. Need your prayers everyone.

How is your mom now? I hope everything went well with her surgery. It's unfortunate that you have to deal with such negativity from your place of work at a difficult time like this.

She's not fine yet. I guess she still needs to pass stools (hope you're not eating or sensitive) because that's a sign that she's already safe and she could go home already after the doctor says so. I'm praying that she'll be okay. I hope God will take good care of her. Thanks for posting. :)

I thought it was only her appendix but she also had a gall bladder operation. They took four stones from her. I hope she will recover from her operations soon. She tried to get up but according to her, it was very painful. :(

Make sure she is drinking lots of water then, and only eating fruits and soft foods. Hospital food isn't always the best thing; is she able to get up at all, walk around even a little? This will help her also. I hope she is feeling better and able to come home soon!

Health is wealth indeed and your mom recovering and having a better and healthy life would definitely be one of the best Christmas gift for her and her family. As for your boss, well, maybe it's just work and nothing personal but I still pray that he/she at least have the heart to consider something as important as this.

Oh, hello. Yes, her recovery is the best Christmas gift for us. My heart was melting a while ago. I saw the pain on her face. If I could only do something for her. I am contacting my uncles and my aunts for financial help but they only gave a very little amount. I didn't know that my mom also had an operation in her gall bladder. They took out four stones from her gall bladder. My mom is so pitiful. I am praying for her fast recovery and for us to get the money we need for her to take her out of the hospital and for her medication. Thanks choybel for posting.

I hope your mom's operation would go well and your mom will recover from it as soon as possible. The appendicitis is not a very serious problem, but the operation is still painful. Let your mom have a good rest and I will pray for her recovery.

Oh, thank you. I feel relieved now. I hope she will recover from it. I praying that there'll be no complications. Our parents were so strict to us before and they always warned us of appendicitis. We couldn't believe it that my mom is already 66 years old and she wasn't able to avoid having appendicitis. I hope she'll be okay. Thanks for the prayers and for posting. Happy mylotting.

Nowadays, operations are becoming ordinary ones to the doctors. With their expertise, they will do all they can for the operation of your mom to go on smoothly.
It's a big thing that your mom will see each one of you take turns in taking care of her in her recovery.

Yes, hopefully we can have our turns this weekend. It will be very uncomfortable because there's no room for the watchers. I don't know where will we sleep during the night or if we have the chance to take a nap. It's been a long week. I only got a few hours of sleep last night. I hope we can survive this weekend. LOL. I would make a video of you at the hospital and show it to them as proof. Sad if things have to come to that though in this world. Some bosses are total jerks, I have a lot of that at home so if I ever get a job like that, someone really shoot me please. I hope your mom recovers quickly from the operation. Sending lots and lots of prayers your way!

Oh, yeah. Some are really jerks. LOL. Video? I guess, he won't believe it. He wants to see a medical certificate. We can't even get absent because the only valid reason for them is sickness. When I saw the topic at the beginning I feel shock then after I finish the reading and find out that it is appendicitis,so I sure you mom will get recover very soon because the modern technology had be very practical to it.

Oh, thanks so much. I thought it was just a minor operation but my colleague said it was a major operation. I'm still at work now. I haven't talked to my mom yet. We'll see her tomorrow. I'm going to spend a night and two days in the hospital with her. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. Appendicitis is usually an in and out thing and she probably won't be in the hospital more than a day or two. It sux when your work won't acknowledge that you have a family emergency and let you go even for a few hours to be with your Mom. I hope she's home soon!

Oh my... sorry to hear that my friend. Good thing she was rushed to the hospital. They said it's poisonous for the body when your appendix bursts. So the patient should be rushed in the hospital.
I wonder why do we have that appendix, it has no use. We can still live normal without it.

So how is your mom now, i am sure she is recovering fast; i had this operation 20 years ago, i used to get lot of pain; then it came as emergency, i was hospitalized and laparyscopy was done to remove that little organ, supposed to have no function lol

We should pay more attention to our mothers not matter how serious the case is. Mother is very important to us. She sacrifices her time and even her life to take care of her children without asking for any rewards. We do treasure every occasion with her, especially when she is sick.
