Have you heard about the new CALM act?

Beginning in 2013 commercials cannot blare at us during a program! Yeah. We all hate it, we find it disturbing, but worse yet I saw the effect it had in the nursing home my mom was in for two years. Before, the channels would say "we have no control over this. If you want the commercial quieter, just turn down the volume on your TV. Elderly have a tough time doing that, making them just turn off their TV. Often the elderly turn to their TV as their only source of company. What do you think about this new act? Will it make your life better or make no difference at all?
