Is there a suicide epidemic in the world these days? I mean a few days or so a nurse committed suicide after taking a crank call having to do with the royal family. A young girl took her life recently cause there were Internet trolls on a web site telling her to kill herself already while she was discussing many problems of her home life on there (actually it was similar to mine). I think alot of us are quite over sensitive yes but where do we draw the line in all of this?

It's not an epidemic. 2,000 people kill themselves everyday world wide. It has been this way for quite sometime.

Also, if people would stop abusing others and making fun of abuse that they suffer, then the people wouldn't have to kill themselves. It's not being overly sensitive that is the problem, it is the people who are telling victims to kill themselves that is the problem. If your being raped and beaten everyday of your life and someone tells you to kill yourself, your going to want to do it. I want to kill myself constantly.

What an epidemic! Omigosh! Well, it is so disturbing that people nowadays can kill themselves because of some reasons I really don't understand... It is so sad that here I am, full of life and keeps on believing in life's worth then there are some people who have this kind of thoughts. (sigh) but that is really one of the irony of life. But for some instance, we should be rely to God for His love and guidance will straight our mind. And it is always fine to cry because of some burdens, for it can detoxify our negative thinking...

A couple of years ago, an employee at my work, where she got let go, took her life afterward, leaving her son under the custody of her mother now. It was sad, but that is one stupid way to deal with unhappy life. We all encounter many unhappiness in life, the problem is how we gonna deal with it. I was trying to find a love of my life, but I tried it many times, it was so unsuccessful, I never thought about killing myself though.

I have to agree with the previous comments...
We are idiots and the press and media know that, which is why they report on stories and form a trend.
It happens in the UK alot.
If a child gets attacked by a dog, the next week will be littered with stories of children being eaten by packs of wild dogs - panic will follow and vigilante groups will form to hunt down these canine fiends - Why?
BECAUSE
WE
ARE
STUPID
