Lesson learne: Groupworks

I have learned my lesson. Never trust your group mates for group works. Especially in school works.
Once I was in a group. We were supposed to work together. I trusted them too much for me to focus on my part and wait for theirs to finish. I finished my part, but they did not, in the end, we weren't able to finish the whole task at all.
From then on, I never trusted anyone in a group. I would always choose to be the one in-charge rather than the one who rides along. I would ask them to do their part. I'd always finish the whole task myself in-case some wouldn't participate. There's nothing for me to lose anyway, if i do all the work by myself. But they will, and it's not my problem. I just wanted to be safe.

i agree with you on not trusting you groupmates for schoolwork especially if they are lazy. So i choose my groupmates coldly even if some of my friends are begging me to let them join i would always choose someone who can contribute to the work. I know i am being mean to them but i don't want to let them affect my grades.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, even i have the same opinion as you. I also do not work in the spirit of team work, whenever i have been said to work in a team, either i have refused to work with the team mates or i have worked independently as i have always believed that i am alone sufficient to handle a work given to me. I do not require the support of others. Besides it is important to have like minded people in a team otherwise u will have clashes every time.
