Hello Lotters,
I was checking on facebook when some one posted a picture about the reasons for those who didn't vote for the RH Bill. not sure still what to think about this bill but with out knowing it's context (till this day) i can never decide whether am for it or not.
But one thing am certain is that those who are against the bill failed to defend why. while some lawmakers believed the bill is incomplete or inconsistent to be pass yet, unfortunately others had even more stupid reasons.
One for example coming from Rep.Aurelio Gonzales telling him to say NO? your grown up now and working for the public to be just listening to your parents now? While rep Augusto Syjuco prayed in his reasons for voting using the apostles creed! this is madness!!
But the worst of the worst reasoning came from Rep. Thelma Almario which is that She wants to see more OFW's Filipinizing the WORLD! believe me, this is the worst reason that I've ever heard! they are stupid allowing the Filipinos to suffer and still wants to send MORE:( how can they be so cruel! Doesn't she realize how many ofw's are suffering now!
these people whether anti or pro wants to have more poor and uneducated people that would be use for them to keep themselves in power! arrggh am so mad and pissed with these representatives. this gives me more reason NOT to vote this coming 2013...
I know i can explain why it needs to be done and it shouldn't..but does it matter?

Yes, it is a bad thing to encourage people to have more and more children eventho we need many will grow up in very poor families. THAT'S why this RH bill is so important!! Unfortunately it's the religeous people who are against it. They wanna be able to build more wealthy churches in slums. Ruling their power over the poor people. It's horrible and inhumane!!

Hello franseman, I think the one who really benefit here the most are the politicians and political families who actually benefitting because they can fool the poor voters into voting them again. education and jobs isn't enough that's why rh bill is being pushed but there is still problem of corruption in the new bill being passed on

fransemean, I think what LetranKnight25 is saying is that pro- or anti- some politicans are doing it because of vested interests not because they think it is good or bad.

as for me I consider myself a catholic but I have long decided not to make the church the final factor in making moral decisions in my life.

They just came up with those reasons to somehow expand the only reason they are fighting for against RH bill, which is the promotion of life and dumping abortion. I know for the fact that abortion will not be legalized under RH bill however, many people will still claim that abortion will then be legalized and be promoted.

Hello Kenshin, I am not even convince how can they consider that as their reason for it going against the bill. i feel sad for the people that voted for these congress person that doesn't really speaks for the people. though there are some that is somewhat logical but not enough i say.

Only Catholics believed that abortion will be legalized under RH bill so that's why they're strongly against it even RH bill has not been proposed there are a lot of abortion cases reported every year.

hello sir knight! this just shows the incompetence of the people we have voted into office-- they don't even know how to give good "alibis" or "reasons" when the real reasons are just that they are doing it because they think it will help them get voted into office again.

Hello AnakniTatay, I don't like their reasoning i wonder if the people who elected these officials would see them now making a fool of their reasoning. They should have come up with a better argument against the PRO RH bill, now there's nothing to stop the PRO supporters and this is going to be a hard decision. but i must admit it seemed that anti ones are those who mostly benefit with the illicit and poor people

It is obvious that some representatives aren't that learned , Letran.
In fact, here in our province one of the congresswoman was a former worker at a night club, taken as a wife by a famous politician who was the congressman before her. She has to take the next term, because her husband had a stroke.
And according to some citizens from here, she would just go to Congress and have some picture taken with some congressman and would simply just attend it.

Hello Simplyd, That's absolutely insane! though i don't think there's any problem unless she makes the effort of going to the schools and then study law like Manny pacman did. who is this congresswoman? i feel sad some one like that got to the congress, that seemed unfair to your people.

I guess in a sense, some people failed to substantiate their arguments. They may have feel strongly about their stance but they can’t tell that their stance is solely based on what their feel. Of course, feeling and emotion can help propel an argument but I think logical and practical ones are always better because feelings and emotions change over time. If they changed, the effect has been in place and irreversible.
In terms of the RH Bill, you cannot help people not using the logical argument. For some people, it’s personal, It’s something that they automatically feel bad about without any justification. But we’re talking about laws here and laws should be founded on sense. Many people will be affected, not just this generation but also the future ones. Having an emotional argument might not last as a logical one.
I don’t fault others for doing the emotional argument but it really doesn’t work for me and I guess for some people too. It is too big of an issue to be swayed in an emotional or spiritual or other means of argument.

Hello Jeanne, Yes they failed to rationalize their message when they should have the capacity to do so. some are basic reason but not enough to be more specific in countering the argument of the pro rh bill advocates.yes, their emotional way of expressing their thoughts against rh bill doesn't work, these are the tough times for the filipino people and the population growth needs to be controlled.

I cannot decide also whether to agree or disagree with the RH bill. Each side has its own advantages and disadvantages. I think, the religious sect is all against the said RH Bill. It would be alarming if abortion will be legalized (though it was claimed it wouldn't). I really do hope that such RH Bill would be of help to all of the Filipinos. Well, what I care most about is that I, as a human person must take responsibility of my actions. I should be careful of all the things I do so that I will not regret in the end.
