The shooting in Connecticut wasn't caused by the "right to bear arms". This idiot would have gotten those weapons anyway. This and the many other shootings that have been happening in this country because of the violence that is so prevalent in this country. It's on TV,movies and especially in video games. I also think it has to do with the lack of family values. The existence of a two parent home is getting more and more rare. Even in the homes that have two parents, both parents are usually working and a lot of them are working different shifts. That leaves kids to their own devices. Their behavior might be seen by others, but their parents often don't see it and might even think that nothings wrong because their child always acts like that.
This is what our world is coming to. People don't like their lives for whatever reason,so they go out and shoot innocent people. What can we do about it?

Romney was put down bby King Obama for politicizing Benghazi, Well, the same standard should apply here, then. At this time of anguish, we should not be playing politics.
I say lets put God and religion back into the system and teach these kids some morality and reasons to be good. The reason to do this has vanquished in today's society. The left teaches that it is okay to kill, as long as it a baby, old, or deformed. What is the difference to some of these young minds.

Lamb, you are partiallycorrect, BUT....there is a correlation between the cultural shift we experienced in the 60s and a rise in this extreme rise in violent crime, is there not?
I agree that you do not need 'religion' to be moral. So I am not saying that those who are non religious are immoral. But the basics; like the idea that there is a higher power we must give account to, or be responsible to, the idea that there are severe consequences for disobedience or violence, that we are expected to obey the law, respect authority, as well as that just because we want someting or feel something does not make that something right. Are these concepts not necessary for civil society?

I read someplace that we used to believe it was wrong to hurt people and take their stuff, now it is ME FIRST and if it feels good do it.
