Since elementary grades, I have been reading novels authored by John Grisham. I love every story he makes. There is always thrill, fun, action, love and mystery in his every writings. No wonder in 2008, he was able to make over 250 million copies worldwide. My ever favorite novel he wrote is The Partner and The Runaway Jury.
Don't you think he's amazing?

Oh yes...I love to read. I read a variety of different material. If you liked the books by Grisham...you should read Gideon by Russell Andrews. Very good read and along the same genre.
John Saul wrote a thriller called Black Lightening that was good too. He is usually a horror writer, but with this one, he stepped out of the box a little. Still scary but a more realistic, mystery kind of book.

Thank you for suggesting these books! I would love to read them but I prefer to read my school textbooks first since I was given a lot of homework this Christmas vacation.
And besides, I lost my interest in reading novels, I don't know why.

I have heard of John Grisham, though I have never read any of his material. I couldn't even tell you a title of any of his books. You mention he is a mystery writer, so that's probably why. I like to read other genres. I enjoy Jack Canfield, Steve Covey, and books pertaining to history. I do enjoy a good Amish book as well as historical romances.

Yes, yes, yes..check out the authors I mentioned, especially Jack Canfield. His Chicken Soup for the Soul books are excellent. The other authors are interesting as well. Maybe you can even check out Napoleon Hill. None of these are mysterious writers, but they offer a very interesting topic and I am sure you will enjoy them.

I did a little search on the web about these names and I found out that these are really 'big' names. I remember the "Chicken Soup for the Soul", I think my mother has this book. I hope I'm gonna be able to read some of these amazing authors' books.

My favourite book of John Grisham is the Firm, I also watched The film with Tom Cruise many years ago, I have actually forgotten the storyline, so I may look out for it next time in the library. I love a good book, to me it's escapism to dive into a book and forget about real life.

What is the title of the movie? Is it the same as the book title? I wanna search and download it.
There are many changes in movies that are originally from books and in some cases, the satory is also being changed that irritates dedicated readers. That is why I don't read the books, I just go directly with the monies to avoid any confusion! Haha

Yes, John Grisham is a much celebrated and read novelist. I have not read any of his stories fully, but would like to read some of his stories. And some of his stories have made it big time to the Movie halls.

Love The client and The Firm and of course The Pelican Brief, his earlier works, but i still prefer my all time favourite subject of Sci-Fi or Sci fantasy, i started long time ago with Isaac Asimov and Arthur Clarke and till today i cannot find any comparison to the mind boggling premise of Asimov's Foundation series and of course the Robots series. whereas Arthur Clarke brand of science fiction is based on facts and what he predicts the future world to be like, and some of the stories he has written is already fact although when he wrote it back then, he based it on a time 100 years in the future..prophetic, Asimov has more fantasy and imagination yet realistic, reading sci fi gets my imagination going beyond our earthly existence and ponder over the universe and that we are not alone , great authors have the ability to get our imgination flowing and see it as a possible premise that there are other intelligence in the universe. But every now and then i come back down to Earth and enjoy a Grisham or Micharel Creichton and Ludlum spy thriller. And when i feel i need a boost on my imagination , i will pick up a Sci- Fi or Fantasy..

Wow! I can see you are a real reader! Haha
I only read books when I am in the mood to read. I actually heard about Asimove but didn't dig any deeper information about him. Sci-Fi also interests me but when asked whether a Sci-Fi book or a Sci-Fi movie? I would definitely choose the movie version. This is because I easily get bored when reading and eventually sleep afterwards.

His name is familiar to me. But I haven't read any of his books yet. I'll add them to my list. My favorite author is Paulo Coelho. He's amazing, and his background kind of interests me. ^^

I do know Paulo Coelho. I remember my classmates borrowing Coelho's books from the library since its free though I never read any of his books. Every time I went to borrow, it was always reserved.

Hahaha! Just like what my classmates were doing! Have you read any of his books? They are really wonderful, especially The Alchemist. He is kind of weird though. I cannot distinguish his beliefs, whether he's a Christian, or a Catholic.

Haha never read any of his books though I heard a lot about him.
Now that I became so lazy in reading, I don't think I will ever read his books, I'm even lazy to read my school textbooks. Bad! haha
