Facebook helps me a lot

In all the sites that I visit regularly, Facebook comes first whereas myLot is next. In Facebook, I can easily contact my friends, family and people I know because it seems everyone who knows how to operate the internet has a Facebook account. Through Facebook I am able to send free messages to their phones since most of the time I don't have load balance in my phone.

I do have a facebook account, but I use it more for a motivational piece. I can send my family messages if need be, but usually they are seldom on facebook. My Mom is on facebook the majority of the time when she gets out her laptop. I check facebook once a day, use to play the games, but even those are boring now. I can access facebook on my phone, so that's okay. Today facebook is not working for me and I use it to access one of my other accounts, so I'm a little disappointed. They might be changing things again.

Yes, that's what I do Devon. I like to update, so people know I'm still alive And then I like to motivate myself with a healthier lifestyle by the likes I have. I check out the home-page and let others know that I still care whether they are there or not.

Haha Some people are not really into facebook, and I see you are one of them. That is better because lots and lots of people get addicted to facebook, for a no particular reason, so don't add yourself haha. It's enough that you just update sometimes to show your friends that your account does still exists and that's all. For me I just log in to my facebook account and then leave it like that and just check for important updates every now and then, and if this makes me an addict then so be it

Facebook is also my first priority. When I wake up I immediately open my fb account and mylot. While doing mylot, I let fb open so that if ever there are messages from friends and relatives, I can immediately read them. However, I work more on mylot.

Hi Devonavis, Few years back we had lots of friendship sites like Hi5, myspace. orkut to name a few but since facebook got famous , all other sites have closed or near closer. I like facebook because I love to play games. I used to play farmville a lot but now I only ply cityville. So I waste lot of time playing Cityville on FB.

Haha Yeah I noticed that too, a few social sites are emerging, but not as popular as facebook. I see a lot of people playing these games on facebook but I really never tried them, I just didn't like them haha and I think it is an advantage for me because I don't stay up all night for just playing these games. Lot of users enjoy it though so...

so do I, Devonavis. I log in to my Facebook account every time, every where. lol. Facebook helps me to fill my leisure times. and the advantage of Facebook I like the most is that I wont feel lonely if I am in a crowd but no one I know. I will have fun with my friends on Facebook via my mobile phone, and i wont feel lonely anymore. sometimes i have chatting with some of them. thank God I have a quite good cell phone with WiFi feature so i can use internet in a place which has WiFi signal. beside I use my Facebook account to do some business such as selling clothes, buying clothes then resell them, giving information to my friends about anything, and etc. Facebook is useful and I can't live without it I think. lol. actually I don't like this feeling, it means that I have already been addicted to it. and it is not good for my soul..

Haha I love how you know that your already addicted to facebook and that you are aware that it is not good for your soul A little advice my friend, don't focus your attention too much on that, I understand that this can actually help in releasing your loneliness but if you are concerned about your soul, then make a wise move already. Peace!

Oh yes, Facebook has been a good companion for me as well, because of Facebook I have free communications with the family and friends, from wherever we are, miles apart from one another. It has been a strong invisible bridge that keeps us connected with such far distance, from South Atlantic to Pacific oceans. They can see where I came from and i can see where they are in a real time basis. I am a part of their success and happiness in all occasions, birthdays, graduations, new baby, weddings and all occasion there may be, sometimes, even just the looney days when they take a video of themselves or a few photos, doing some looney faces. As I am also a part of their disappointments, sadness, miseries and loneliness expressed in their current statuses posted on their or through the private messaging. Yes, Facebook is great, we are far apart, but in thoughts we know we are just beside each other. We are just physically worlds apart, but there is still a connection that bind us.

Hmmm good companion-what a word to describe your experience with Facebook haha. Well, like you, lots of people love the site because of these opportunities it brings. There are times wherein I miss my family and friends, all I can do is to watch their pictures and it really helps!

oh yes, you are so right, I do also, see the pictures and laugh and comment, just like a crazy one laughing alone, in school or house. i seldom miss them because they are very present in facebook and so am I. It is my morning ritual then i just stay there keep it on line.

Whatever benefits have been by Mr. Devonavis though are true and correct, but I feel that many of facebook account holders have not understood real meaning of social network. It is alright to talk with friends, relatives or known persons who live away or in abroad to talk with them without tension o balance in phone. But, the friends added on facebook are not that much social with you. I think they should become social with each other like my two friends on facebook, 1. Mr. R. Venkat and 2. Neha

Hi Ashokraghute! Welcome to myLot and thanks for dropping by, really appreciate it. I get you and I totally understand what you said, I also once asked myself, "Why do people keep on adding and adding friends(strangers) on facebook while they do not want to interact with each other?" Then I realized later on that this is probably because each of the user want to have this so-called 'number of friends'. I'm not really sure but up to now I still wonder why.

hi devonavis, when you say you are able to send free messages to their phones, do you mean short message service (sms)? or do you mean they check their facebook account often using the internet connection from their phones?

Hi devonavis, Facebook is now very popular and everyone who has little bit of knowledge of internet has a face book account. Yes we can not only keep it touch with the friends and family but also as you rightly said send messages to their phone and also we can shre pictures and like their status and all that. Really a fun filled useful site.

Well said Asweetie The only negative thing I think Facebook brings is that it is very addictive, and sometimes being abused by lot some users. So sad to know that some crimes happened because of Facebook, some people are just genius in upsetting others

Yes, you are right in fact I think I'm getting addicted into this site already. In Facebook, we can see those funny pictures and thoughts and when we realize it, it seems to be true. Like as of the moment, I am currently logging in the Facebook. I do have fun time with my former classmates during high school and we are busy talking about our upcoming reunion. Communication is fast in Facebook.

Yeah me too. It helped me a lot on my clothing business. I don't have enough money to just open a boutique or store because it is hard to get an affordable commercial space. But Facebook had allowed me to start a business of my own without paying anything.

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but I don't like Facebook. The site is too slow and there are thousands of freaks on that site. Many of my friends hang out at this site (mylot)or on twitter. I more into twitter, but to each their own. Is always nice to hear that for some Facebook can be useful. I heard some cool stories about people promoting their business, sites and products on Facebook, and got excellent results.

i also started using facebook only recently. But i must really confess for sure ,it has all the things whichever i needed like contacting my friends abroad.Chatting up with them and also having a casual chat and more over sharing some important stuff quickly through facebook, the factor of time difference is reduced greatly by this means.

Yes, the chatbox is one of the very helpful features of facebook. Then now the admin added "call" that made it even more convenient for its users. We should be very thankful for the creator of this site.
