It is a fact that JMM knocks out Pacquiao in Round 6 at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas on Dec. 8, 2012. What one good advice can you offer to Pacquiao?

Manny Pacquiao is too early to retire in the field of boxing, it is like telling a 33 year old teacher to have retire on profession.
Why some people wishing that our National Champ to retire where that is his profession?
I think Manny is 33 years young, while Marquez is 39 years old,
and Marquez is the one who retire in Boxing and not Pacquiao, and besides every fights of Pacquiao brings zero traffic, zero black and brown outs, zero crime and a unity to all sorts of people in life, even the wars are in ceasefire...
How about if all Philippine singers and artists are advisable to retire when reaching the age of 33?
For I know that entertainers like Singers, Artists, Boxers, PBA, NBA, Bowlers, Askals, Billiards, and to all athletics who loved sports....
advising them all to retire at the age of 33?

Is to FACE and ACCEPT DEFEAT is only showing a kind of message to some "boxers who cannot accept a defeat state" that looks he win more than the previous winning moments...
Since plenty of professional boxers talks everything before their-day-of-fight that they will easily tear their opponent's skull into pieces like a paper skull tearing...
but when they loose then how can they eat those words they said before?
Humbleness is one lesson...
Their 4 times battle with Pacquiao against Marquez shows that 3 times Marquez could not accept defeat and he even travel here in the Philippines to invite rematch,
while Pacquiao easily accept defeat before he comes down the boxing ring platform...
And to continue Pacquiao's boxing career is part of boxing SPORTS...
It is not by proving another division in boxing but in the world of sports any fighters must keep on for the name of Sports, Profession, Entertainment, and Money.
Even Philippines singers and artists, they all very good, and why must they still continue their career?
They all have lots of money remember?
Once a boxer is always a boxer, the same way to Philippine Basketball Association that for example GSM Ginebra San Miguel looses many times but they keep on playing basketball (reaching over 33 years age old), they all have lots of money remember?
and nothing to prove because they are all good in basketball
but why they all still playing basketball?
How about NBA?
Nothing to prove more, but due to the world of Sports, the game is always on...

I admire your points which are all good. Man is a wonderful being. It's hard to satisfy his ego. He may develop a talent, reaches the top of it yet he never is satisfied. He craves for more, so they venture into international stage for further prestige, awards, rewards, etc. It's only after feeling his energy and talents ebb that he/settle down for good.

If Manny Pacquiao doesn't want to retire then I will respect his decision, but I will give him an advice and it is to : not underestimate the capacity of his opponent and focus on his practice. He is a very busy man as of now maybe e neglects to do his practice sometimes so he needs to be more focused and work hard just what MArquez did, He is also a great Mexican Fighter.

The Advantages of Over-Confidence is making your body a positive attitude on winning, increases adrenaline of No-Fear, No-Pain, and Failure is Not-An-Option.
And to some professional boxers, over-confidence is the reason why they win in an unbelievable feats...
The Disadvantages of Over-Confidence is your your body vulnerable to a well-planned punch combinations, or just a simple lucky punch that in a blink of an eye, you are already waked-up from a knock-out.
I remember what BRUCE LEE said before in relation to Over-Confidence:
"It is like a finger pointing away to the moon, don't look concentrate on your finger or you'll miss all of the heavenly glory"

I think it's time for him to hang his gloves, as what his wife and Mom had been appealing years ago. There's nothing more to prove, I guess he had already been to it. Contentment is one thing a man should accept, he should also focus on one thing at a time.

Nice advice. Pacquiao should weigh all advice given here and in all discussions as well. But can Manny bear to see Marquez occupy the once hallowed place where he once was looked up to? Will a 33 years old accept the defeat within his heart from a 39 whom he knocked down 5 times in their total encounters?

I realized that even after such lose, he will not just give up his gloves that easily. And not necessarily have rematch with Marques, but I guess that Pacquiao should have a more focused on his training next time. And maybe, after next year, he could consider retiring. He is still young and yet he has attained so much. I am sure that he wouldn't want to have any health problems like Ali has. Much better if he retires from boxing as soon as he can than leave the boxing world with damaged nerves.

Man will back if his ego his hurt. Pacquiao is no exception. He needs reassessment, more preparation, total overhaul of his physique and mental faculties. etc. Will he gain back his vibrant energy and lost glory? It's only time that will tell; let's wait for it. Have a grand day!

My advise is for him to retire from boxing now. God must be telling him something when he lost.
God must be telling him to choose just one : boxer , politician or a preacher?

My advice would be don't mix politics and religious acts. When he was still a religious boxer, he keeps on winning, when he became boxer and politician, he still won, but when he became a religious politician boxer, he's done. It's karma, God knows he's fooling people around.
