When Will We Learn?

When will America learn that guns should be banned from people, other than law enforcement? How many more innocent people, especially children will have to be killed before we realize this? There's no reason, other than hunting, that any person should possess a gun. An assault rifle... for what? What could a person need that for, unless they are planning on gunning down a massive amount of people, like maybe the military? It just doesn't make sense. I know we'll never get rid of ALL the guns in the U.S. Or can we?
