Do you ever feel empty in one day, like you're floating not really connected to this real life and actually don't really care or think about things happen that day?

When I feel that, I look for ways, even in small ways, to help others. Sometimes I buy granola bars to give to the homeless that beg at the traffic lights. I can't really help them and I only give food to those who are really down and out. But, perhaps, it can cheer up their day and give them a little something to eat. One time, after I gave a little food to one homeless man, he just talked and talked to me, while the light was red. He just needed someone to talk to. I think I gave him a little hope. I also crochet for charity and I have made hats for the homeless. I think our purpose is to help others. So, when I feel empty, I look for ways to help those who are less fortunate than myself. Then, I feel more fulfilled.

That's a good way to avoid feeling empty, our lives should be useful and has a purpose to other people, thank you for the insight ! :D

I know the feeling. It have to happen something really intense to disturb you from this floating. I call this "being on automatic pilot". I react to things, but only because I have learned reactions to them, I can't think properly and I postpone the process for other days when I will feel more in the mood to do it.

Try and find something that can bring you satisfaction in life, perhaps a goal you are working towards? When i am feeling sad I look back at my past accomplishments and where I have come from and heading towards. There is happiness for everyone!

I do feel empty but it only happens when I quarrel with my boyfriend or maybe just I put myself in bad mood. I always do not know what to do when I'm with a bad mood and always used to staring at my computer blankly doing nothing. But, if I wasn't in bad mood, I absolutely won't feel empty.

I feel empty sometimes most especially when I am facing some dilemmas in my personal life. But I don’t hold this feeling for a long time. I just sit and relax and think of the possible ways I can help myself to conquer such problem.
I think this is normal, since we are preoccupied with some problems this triggers us to feel empty because we do not know what to do. This is just my opinion, everyone has their own personal views and experiences over this subject.

Yep, a lot more lately. I think I suffer from SAD which doesn't really help.
My thoughts today are: Is this it?
And then I'll sleep on it, wake up and decide I am lucky to have what I have even if it isn't very much.
But I am planning on winning the Euromillions sometime soon.
