Ok, here is it. Are you fond of playing music, covering songs, and writing your own? Well, I love doing them especially with my piano and guitar. Once you got your favorite songs, and you cannot reach its keys, what would you do? Would you give up, lie down in your bed, staring at your instruments, telling yourself that you wish you had a high and powerful voice. Ok, you aren't a soprano and you don't have a very high voice. Well, when I was in junior and senior high, I was a member of our school's glee club, and this was one of the best things I ever had. There I was positioned on a soprano group because I used to sing on a very high note, but now, I cannot do that anymore. I don't know why. I just cannot reach very high notes, I mean my voice is thinning whenever I hit those high notes as I sing. So, I think some of you feel the same thing. Your voice cannot reach the exact note or chords and isn't powerful. So, what would I do in order to improve my singing skills. Remember, I ain't a singer, but I used to be a choir member on our glee club. Well maybe my voice has changed ever since I got into college because I couldn't participate on any performing activities there, although they do have the glee club and I passed their auditions, but I didn't go over there because I had to mess up with my school works as well as beating the deadlines of our gazette. In short, I had to meet all the academic expectations and maintain high grades. Well, I just realized that human's singing voice changes once he stopped developing it. That's what happend to me. What did I do then? Simply admitting that I had to change and to adjust the chords and the notes of songs I am playing or I cover. Well, maybe you are asking righ now: what is adjusting? For example, you'll gonna play a very beautiful song, Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars. It's original keys are F-Am-Bb-Dm-C. We all know that Bruno Mars has a high pitched and melodious voice, that's why his songs are all high pitched. What I did is I played it in different keys, yeah I adjusted the keys which could be suited on my voice. I played it on two sets of keys, one was on key of C major (C-Em-Am-Dm-G), and one was on key of D major (D-Bm-G-A). I currently messing on playing this on another set of chords to find out whether I can play it without any disruptions on my voice. I also play his another beautiful and melodious new song, Young Girls which is originally keyed on A major (A-C#m-F#m-D-E). Since I cannot reach those keys, I adjusted it on key of G major (G-Bm-C-D) on piano. Do you know that his greatest song, Just The Way You Are can be played in different chords. It has four original chords, keyed on F major (F-Dm-Bb-C). I played it on key of D flat (Db-Emb-G#sus4). I also played it in key of E major (E-A-B), and then I also played in key of D major (D-Bm-A-G). In adjusting the chords, I usually go on mostly with a piano. I keenly listen to a song's melody and then I hit a chord on every words on its lyrics. Well, you can hit the melody of the word in its lyrics, verse by verse. For example, on its first verse, you can play the note of its melody. I usually do it by humming, that's why my ears are very important on doing this and I really take good care of them by cleaning them regularly with cotton buds. No, I don't use oil for it will affect my eardrums. Once you are done with hitting the note of its first verse, you can easily figure out its chords, or better yet, you can look for the song's chords online. That's what I did when I played Liquor Store Blues. Good thing that I played its original chords, C#m (C#m-G#m-A-B). I also played Jason Mraz's I'm Yours, which is originally keyed on A major (A-E-F#m-D). I managed to reach those notes, but I explored and played it on key of C major (C-Em-Am-F). I also watch some folks on Youtube doing a cover and they indeed are doing some adjustments in chords. During my time in glee club, when I was a senior high, I used to teach our grade school members some basics in playing piano, as our adviser, Ms. J. Acosta ordered me. I taught them some basic chords and keys, how to read notes. I really miss those times on our club and only if I could take those times back, I would do that.

I haven't played drums, and I wish I would do it soon. But I have tried playing a flute and a beat of tambourine. Me, I love every music artist existing. Yeah, they are lil bit proud. Thanks for comment. Hope for your success in singing on bands, and I wish I would perform on stage also, which was deprived from me since I enter college. Thanks. :)

I like music. Its encouraging for me to do clean house, to dance to work out. I don't write music probably cause wouldn't know what to write about. I like playing piano. I taught myself to play by reading those how to books. I occassional watch music videos on youtube to find out which ones to buy on amazon or itunes. I don't play gutar anymore. I forgot how. I did years ago. I do still love listening to others play one or listen to some of that kind of music. I think the world would be sad with no music.

yeah, music makes us feel alive and active, as I've said. we can listen to music whatever we do. just like now, I'm messing on helping my homie on her research, while soundtripping. Playing piano makes me feel alive, as in I wont last a day without playing this. How-to books are okay. They are also a good source of everything you want to learn. Me too, I watch some videos on youtube, covering songs. You know, once you learned how to play piano, you can now easily know how to play guitar coz their chords and keys are the same, that's why whenever my guitar is getting out of tune, I don't use an autotune, instead, I just hit the equivalent chords on a piano then voila.... it's tuned again. Yeah, you're right, I cannot imagine the world without music.
