Friends ; life never promised us anything, nor God did, but people did; some said they will never leave you; it is usually a lie; some said they will love u till death, this is lie to, some said you are the most precious one in life, this is lie too for many.
Our life is made of such sweet lies.
All that matters is, how you face the time when you finally realized those were just lies.
I think life would be much better without these lies.
Please share your views and comments on this.
Thanks in advance; have a nice Sunday.

Yes, our life is made of sweet lies. The truth is that human beings lie. We all do it.. Some of us intentionally, some of us unintentionally, for the mind is not truthful. It lives in the illusion that time is real, but if we look closely... how can it be. There is only now. Yesterday cannot return, tomorrow is not yet, and now, is immediately gone - so how can there be time.
What is done it done and the mind says that it can be un-done with forgiveness, but it cannot be if it no longer exists. When we can recognize the illusion there is no need for forgiveness, just acceptance that what has come about is here and now and then gone. We can move on in freedom from the past.
As a practitioner of Zen, I can feel this sometimes, and other times the truth is, that I sink back into my mind and into the illusion.
Life promises spiritual growth, but there is no guarantees other than the future is a mystery - life is a mystery. It can feel dangerous, but the mind's lies can soften the danger for us.
This is just what is coming into consciousness right now. Thank you for the opportunity this discussion has provided for me to investigate what exists deeper than my conditioned mind. _Derek

Hi Dodoazo,
Can we guarantee that our plans will come to fruition? Is it absolutely certain? In 5 years maybe something will change your course. You may have a 99 per cent certainty that something will happen, but will it happen exactly the way you think it will? Will it feel the same as you envisaged? Do we have to be influenced by others? I think we have free will.
If you can explain what life is, then is ceases to be a mystery. I am not talking about what we do in life, but what we are in life. We are life. When I look closely at what I am, I see an mystery that cannot be explained, yet I know it is so. That is the only certainty of 100 percent that I am [existing] right now.
I don't see any guarantees in life at all. I wouldn't want them as then life would be predictable and become very boring. Some people may want a predictable life, but I wouldn't want one to be that way at all. _Derek

Actually, God did promise us one thing: that we will have an eternal life if we live the way like He wants us to do.
God gave us life. And he gave us a free will on how to make use of the life He gave into proper use. Sad thing is, not all people find it easy to follow His way.

That is exactly what I meant. That even if we were given free will, we are expected to go through the "straight path", but man does not find it easy to follow that path.

Well, I don't think that these lies are lies that are intentionally told by other people. This is just something that we have to deal with during our lives in my opinion.
Now I know that it would be easier to go through our lives if there were no lies that were ever told to us. However, I also think that it is human nature that we will sometimes say things that are not necessarily true.

As sad as it may seem, some of the things you said are true. Especially if one have been constantly experiencing heartbreaks and disappointments/failures in life/career whatever it is. But I do think also that there are still few good people out there who might lie but still proves that s/he can do anything to prove his/her love to a person. And about life, we can still get back up and move towards a better life.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Yes i completely agree to you on this that life is made up of such sweet lies but in my opinion our lives will become bitter without such lies.
Nothing is permanent in this world and in this temporary world if someone promises to stay with us till the end of the life then we should accept it as a truth as even that person must be knowing that we all would be leaving this world. So its better to continue our lives with such lies.
What say?

Actually I don't think so,in my mind,I think that life will be more warm because of those sweet lies,as you well know, the world and the reality is very cruel so if we always tell the true to others then our world will be so ruthless and cold,do you agree with this?

hi,
yes that is true,in short it says that life is no permanent will stay to us,and the truth is anything will be gone for you without any knowing or warning from that, its really hard to say promise to someone especially if that is no assurance.
