To sell things in ebay, I would first consider what items you would like to sell and research them on lots of sites so that you can get a good indicator of their true value. How much are other people selling them for? How many items like it are already posted on ebay? What makes your item unique? You want to hit a good spot of selling the item for its true worth but not overpricing the item so that no one will want to buy it.
Second, try to take some great pictures of your item...clean it up if it is used, display it with a white background, if it is clothing, show someone wearing it nicely, etc. I sell a lot of shirts and the ones that I have modeled myself sell within the first week, while the ones that are just flat on the hanger don't sell very quickly. Good pictures make a difference.
Write a good description that shows all the good qualities of your product as well as any defects. Be honest.
Finally, when you have finished most of your posting, you will tell ebay where you live and you can select which kind of shipping. Since I don't know the system in the Phillippines, I would select the shipping that is calculated by the buyer. The buyer can select which shipping method they prefer and the cost will be dependent upon the location and size/weight of the item. AFTER the seller pays for the item and shipping, you can go ahead and ship the product by taking it to your local post office or putting it in a flat rate box (don't know if they are available in your country).
Make sure you have a PayPal account, as this is the only way to deal with money on eBay. Best of luck to you!

He will also have to connect the paypal account to the ebay account and connect the ebay account to the paypal account.
Is it possible to just sell things on the first moments one is registered to Ebay ?
I'm sure there are some regulations to make sure the user is true and trust worthy.

First of all good luck selling on ebay. I quit a few years ago after never getting the amount my items were worth! No question is a stupid question and starting out on ebay your bound to have a lot of them. Once someone buys something from you you have to take it to the po and mail it to them. Don't ever mail anything until you've been paid for it because even on ebay there are untrustworthy people who will want it before they pay you and then don't pay you once the receive it. Whatever you do good luck!

Thanks for your help! But what if i want to sell something big, say a set of sofa?

I wouldn't recommend selling something like a sofa online. Not too many people are willing to pay for the shipping fees. If you are set on it, I would measure the sofa and ask the PO how to ship it. They should be able to guide you. Make sure that when you post this item, you include the estimated shipping costs. You don't want to end up paying for the shipping charges.
But really, I would stick to things that are smaller, such as electronics, clothing, or small toys. These seem to sell fast and the shipping is not too much for most people.
If you have a sofa you'd like to sell, try local avenues. That way, the customer has the option of picking it up themselves or you could deliver it by truck and include a delivery fee.

You should know what you are selling, put description on the products you are selling on your ebay page, if its about gadgets then closely put items that is gadgets only, in a way your clients will know that your store only caters for gadgets and not other things.
After putting description, pricing, and pictures of your product, know your flexible payment terms this is very important so that your clients will know what method of payment they will do in order to purchase the product this could either be: PayPal transfer, Wireless banking, Western Union, Bank Transfer, Cash On Delivery, etc.
Know your clients, if they are near your location, you can do meet-ups and cash-on delivery, If they are far from your location, you can choose a shipping carrier like FedEx, UPS, Xend, LBC , and other shipping carriers. Usually, Post-Office Snail mail is slow so the best you can do to send your products to your client is by shipping carriers because they are fast and on time. also, tell your clients to shoulder the shipment fee.

You can sell any product on ebay. Even, you can sell a second hand goods on ebay. Register on ebay, post your selling words, and get the bidders. Once the limit time of the bid is up, the highest bid will buy your product. After the bidder pay the product's price, then you will get to send the product to the buyer's address.
