I like a movie about world war 2, any suggestion movies title to be watched?

Ahhh! World War II, my favorite history subject. I love movies about World War II. Some movies I can think of are RED TAILS which is about the Tuskegee Airmen, the African-American fighter squadron. PEARL HARBOR...of course the title is self explanatory. ENEMY AT THE GATES, which is about the German invasion of Stalingrad. SCHINDLER'S LIST....directed by Steven Spielberg and it's about Oskar Schindler, the German industrialist who saved over 1,100 Jews from the holocaust. VALKYRIE, starring Tom Cruise, about the famous plot to assassinate Hitler. THE GREAT RAID....about the rescue of allied POW's from a Japanese prison camp. A BRIDGE TOO FAR...a much older movie about Operation Market Garden following the invasion of Normandy. And, FAT MAN AND LITTLE BOY....starring Paul Newman, and it's about the Manhattan Project, the development and construction of the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I would recommend the Winds of War and War in Rememberance series. Both of these movies are mini-series but they are great series about World War II. WInds of War starts with the events leading up to the war and a lot of the events of World War II before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Where War in Remberance takes upon more the part of the war once that United States joins into the war.

I had rented them from Netflix. If you do not already have a Netflix account a lot of times you can get a free 1 month for joining.
I believe that I saw Private Ryan though I cannot recall it. The others I have not seen. There is also a really good story about World War II by Danielle Steel. I think the title was HMS I had listened to the audio book, and it is a really good story. It starts I believe before World War I and covers through World War II. Sometimes, Damielle Steel books get made into tv movies so you could try searching for this one too or get the audio book. I love listening to audio books. Even sometimes, I more listen to television than watch it.

Saving Private Ryan is a movie of WW2 about saving Private Ryan. He is the youngest and the last who survive from four Ryan.
Starring by Tom Hanks and some other great actors.
Like the star of Jason Bourne and who is the name of actor that ride Mustang in The Fast and The Furious?
HMS 1?

I saw this site that listed the top 1 world war 2 movies. You should give it a try...
Schindler’s List , Inglourious Basterds and Saving Private Ryan are my favorites, they are quite famous too so you can get a copy of them anywhere..

Let me add to the lists : Patton, From here to Eternity, Battle of the Bulge, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Von Ryan's Express. These are all war movies, I just hope you like them.

I think you shall to watch the tin Red Line if you like world war II movies, "Devi". It's a good movie cos it based in James Jones's novel. There are many big hollywood celebrities who played in that movie like Sean Penn, Madonna's ex husband, Nick Nolte, John Travolta, John Cusack, Adrien Brody and George Clooney. This movie also nominated for Oscar for best cinematography, best director, best film editing, best original score, best picture, best sound and best adapted screenplay but it failed to won any these awards. However, this movie awarded The Golden Bear for best movie on 49th Berlin International Film Festival in 1999. This movie also won in another award like in ALMA award, American Society of cinematography, Australian screen sound guild, and others that i can't tell it
