In our neighborhood, there are some stores selling firecrackers especially this holiday season. I observed that many kids are buying the said stuff and play with it. I was just wondering if the parents know what their kids are doing with the money they asked from them? Aren't they aware of the possible untoward incident their kids might be involved?
As parent, my son is still small to play with it but adn still when he grew up, I will teach him not to play with such dangerous things. I will let him know the dangers of firecrackers and it is not toy being played by everyone especially kids. Furthermore, I beleive that as parent you should be a good example to your kids. I hope I will since I never really used to play with firecrackers even the one they claimed safe for everyone.

I know what you mean. I also do not encourage my ids to buy them no matter how safe they claim to be. Our family had a bad incident with these about 3 New Years ago. The Roman Candle back fired and accidentally burned my husband's niece's arm. We were all in panic. Instead of being happy for the new year, we were all feeling bad wih what happened to the poor kid.

I agreew with you, even they claim that the fireworks are safe, like roman candles and luces, I never bought any during the holiay season. In fact, our immediate neighbor are really alloting thousands of pesos in fireworks so we just watched it during the eve.

Sadly, that maybe just the reason. People think they always have everything under control......if they would only just listen, then we could not be welcoming each new year with casualties.
