A law enforcement official says the attacker in the Connecticut school shootings is Adam Lanza, a man with ties to the school.
According to media reports, Mr. Lanza killed his father, as well as his mother, who worked at the school, and many of her students.
The official said that a gun used in the attacks is a .223-calibre rifle. The official also said that New Jersey state police are searching a location in that state in connection with the shootings, said by an official in Connecticut to have left 27 dead, including 18 children.

It is anoybody's greatest nightmare to witness this kind of tragedy that started from childhood violence. Now, I am wondering why does this kind of violence occur? What is the push that makes a 20 year old man, kill the innocent children. This is more than a heinous crime. The school which is supposedly a place where children are kept safe becomes a kill zone, this makes me feel disturbed. I am a father of a child and I could never imagine the emotion if I loss her because of this senseless behaviour.

Why don't people focus on WHY HE DID IT, instead of 'which laws could have made this impossible?'
Is it a conspiracy like they say 9/11 was? Could it be a part of the very-same conspiracy? Get Documentary-Filmer Michael Moore on This Right-Away!

I have actually thought of any law that can prevent them but something popped up already. There are many rules already. Murder is punishable by law. and in every law, there is always somebody who will break it. And as long as this kind of people exist, we will continue to hear about this tragic story.
Focusing more emphasis on WHY gives us a hint of persons character, how he was before he did it or how he was treated, what were his habits, what were the movies he watch or books he read, you know these of things.

Well, it is quite clear to me that this man had severe mental illnesses to be able to take the lives of so many innocent souls before taking his own life. You know there is a really special place for a person like him and it is definitely not anything like the special place where those innocent babies and their caregivers will be spending all of eternity.
I can't even begin to imagine the feelings that all of the parents must have felt as they were watching, waiting to see if their children walked out of that school building.
This has been something that has been weighing very heavily on my mind and I have to admit that there was a part of me that didn't want to send my two children to school today because I'm somewhat scared.
