People who are afraid of the upcoming Dec 21

... are often the ones who are attached to the material things in life. Agree? Well, I really wonder why some people are so scared of this. Kindly explain? The way I see this, I don't think that the world will end the way it is shown on the movie 2012. I think there is some possibility of disaster, proof of that is the recent climate changes and earthquakes the world is experiencing. And I don't worry too much because if the world really ends as people describe it, then we all die together? For me, it's okay, because everyone dies together and that's fair and together with them, their problems are buried and forgotten too. Their suffering is done in a physical sense. I think of this as not the end but a beginning. Maybe there will be big changes happening. Some claim this is the second coming of God, shouldn't be that good news?? It's annoying how some people panic about it, clearly they just don't have enough faith. I'm not saying you will be saved according to religion. To me, the only basis of salvation is an individual's faith not his religion. Did that make sense? Why do people cling so much to the temporary material things in life and the temporary life they have on earth? Are they not aware that people die in the end anyway? The best thing people can do about it is accept that death is inevitable and dying without regrets is the best way to die. Every material thing around us is temporary, why are some so scared of losing those? Besides if we really die, would we be aware of our loss at that time then? I don't think so. Your views, my friends?

natural disasters that are happening are the result of how people abuse mother nature..it's not connected with the "end of the world" thingy.. for me, i don't believe about dec.21..what i'll be looking forward on that day is just i'll be celebrating another year living on this earth..and i'm just thankful about that..

That's true. Most natural disaster are worsened because of people neglecting mother nature.

Hi there, first and foremost I'm an atheist so I don't believe there's any god having a hand in this all. Also I don't believe in the end of the world. Scientists know all about it and it ain't gonna happen. Nor will we have a complete 'black out' during dec. 23 till 25. It's all hoaxes. They were there when I was young and always will be there

Once I was an altar boy and got scolded by the priest because I like men. Then I started reading about the RC church and saw things I really can't believe. Also I see wealthy churches in slum areas. It makes me sad. The church could end poverty instantly. But do they?? No!

I see. Some churches are corrupt but some are really sincere. Often, some bad people use the church for their own gain, which is evil in my opinion. I can't believe all that is stated by the priests either, because to me they are human too and there's no way that they are right all the time. I think it's better to refer to the bible, understand, apply and come up with our own views and then confirm this with other people.

Why are people relying on a movie to decide we are approaching the end of the world. That's farcical, ludicrous even.

I don't know what other people are thinking. When we think of destruction and the end, we tend to imagine everything crumbling. But I think fear will help anyone unless they use that to prepare, turn to their faith and do good LOL

okay let's make it straight and simple, to all of non-believers To God you don'r have right to to add up comment here, and for those who are and to christian's here is the thing you need to prior about, for those who are fortunate to join the true religion are not afraid with the second coming of christ and will seek true salvation, however for those who are not yet here is the verse you need to seek, study and rely on to a verse from JOHN 10:7-9 "Then said Jesus onto them, verify, verify I said unto you, I am the door of the sheep, All previously come to me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't heard them, I am the door who ever enter me will be saved, He will come and go out and find pasture." This verse states about what will happen for those who enters him, jesus christ is the door to way to God, and who ever enters him will be saved, Now there are lots of false prophets that are now deceiving the entire world, claiming they are the true and the real religion from God, they keep on giving false teachings that are not well studied and relevant with proper basis s stated clearly in the bible, I want all of those who read this post to build and find what is the real meaning behind, The bible can't just be understand by simply reading the whole book it needs a further more and well explanation from the real prophet of God, honestly yeah there are signs that salvation and judgment day is coming signs can be seen from God's wrath, disasters, that leads to hunger, that results to cruelness and being evil, and ends up to war and greed, to are the living and proof signs of the last days of the earth, imagine how rewarding it is if you are in the real pasture or religion, but what a great fear if you will just think to your self that having faith is enough to save you, still God is in control of everything, the alpha and the omega, now fortunate for those who read this and I want to extend my great help to everybod here is a blog from my o members in my religion hope you study and read all of the related topics that are posted in his website http://malayongsilangan.blogspot.com, hope you read all of them, some pages are into tagalog language the official dialect of the Philippine country, have a great and blessed day to everyone - Mathew Samuelle Nuevo - m2jars ceo and platinum team leader.

I know your intentions are good mathew, but still you don't have to say that people who are nonbelievers of God don't have the right to comment. Isn't mylot a community where you are free to express yourself regardless of religion, race, gender, age, etc? Sure you can share your knowledge and your concern to the people here, just don't forsake others who are different from you and don't believe in the things you believe in. That would make all the difference. I believe in God and in doing the good and right thing one will be saved. I don't do so much research about it though.

Thank you mathew. I'm glad you understood. I'm also sorry I was hard on you. I suppose the fact that you began to forbid nonbeliever comments made me upset. I see you are passionate about your belief, that's a good thing. Just remember to keep an open mind too and don't criticize or forsake others who don't think the same way you do. You will encounter many of those and if you are negative towards nonbelievers, how will they ever start to heed your words? The things you do and your goals requires extreme patience. I'm sure you will help a lot of people in your own way. Don't worry though, people will see the light in your words someday, and that would be because they are willing to listen and be committed to God in their own time. Thank you.

well personally, I would like to say sorry for telling people not to gave opinion for those who are non-believers, but one thing for sure anyone who criticize god and say against bad to him, no doubt, I'll show no mercy, God is the only living and the most powerful above all, a jealous yet very loving and pitiful God to his followers, God don't want to do this but for what is he seeing people are doing too much just for their personal benefits and keep on doing sins and dunno when to stop, everyone please come back to him and its the only way that can make a world a better place, stated in the bible prophecies are already written, however if all of us will do the right thing for him eventually it will be changed.

That is really quite erroneous about the Dec.21 thing. Anyway, people should not afraid rather pray. If everything will end that is prophesied in this world. What really matter is our faith in God and not on material things. So when the times comes, we are ready to face God and be with Him. God Bless

I think people are just over reacting. They are afraid of the unknown and they are scared of what threatens their existence in this world. I did not know about the dec 17 thing until now.

Personally i don't believe Mayan culture predicted Dec21 is the end of the day for earth, its calender considered it is the beginning of a new stage in their four cycles for earth, not the end of the world, but then again, those Hollywood big shots are just utilizing their rich imagination talent to make a film out of it hoping to catch some high box office sales for the coming holiday season, you shouldn't be taking it too seriously. This end of the world scenario also is part of the favorite among doomsday cult followers belief system, not part of the Mayan civilization belief system. So having say that, it is alright if some people want to be afraid of this coming Dec 21 and choose to hide in their basement, or stock up under their bedroom, they should every rights to do that, they may not like to die in such a way except their own way while living in this world.

Some people make a big deal about the 2012 movie. I'm aware that the movie makers are making the movie for money and for showing people their talent on making those special effects. It's just a movie. Yeah, I learned about that Mayan cycle because of the members here. I didn't really search hard enough. Maybe the world will end some day when people won't expect it. To me... the world is just more difficult to live in now, but I don't think it will end just yet. Many people around me are doing what they do normally. Some people are worried and scared. And some just love discussing about how the world will end. I think it helps people reflect.

I try not to let these end of the world dates get to me, who can really know these things. when it happens it does, putting a time on it just makes the anticipation harder to cope with,

If the world will really end, what can we do about it? It's best not to worry about it and live everyday the way we always do and maybe appreciate each day more.

I am not afraid because we will die anyway plus I don't believe the world can end in one day, I think the new souls will be reincarnating here while all those who live in the old ways: selfish, don't help others, are cruel to animals will be going to live in another world and that might have happened here on earth as well.

I don't think it has anything to do with losing your material things. Nobody in my country is keeping himself busy with doom day. It's a made up idea that does not exist and it's not what is foresaid at all. Seems people like to change the story, are not really interested to do some investigations themselves. There is also a group that knows how to make money out of the panic/fears of someone else. This besides of the fact that it's natural to try to stay alive (animals do the same). If someone in the group says it's the end the whole group will panic and try to find an escape way.

I think it has something to do with material things, I hear people mutter worrying about losing their car and home if the world ends. There are many reasons that make people fear that day. I doubt that this end will come though. Many natural disasters are the result of human actions towards the earth and it even gets worse as the years pass. Some people will sink low just to make money

me too, i am also attracted to material things in life but i am not afraid the world will end in my time, i don't even give much thought about that, the world changes, what we see now will no longer be around a thousand years from now. everything here will end, and substituted by another new world order another culture. i believe in God. it is easier for me to believe than not to believe. we have our own way of understanding things basing on our experiences that make us conclude or makes us feel and think just the way we do. and that makes our person different from each other.

Being attracted to material things and being attached to material things is different. There is some verse in the bible I was able to read, that says God created a lot more worlds before and he will continue making more worlds if he destroyed one.

Hey talking about the ending of the world those that said it how are they so sure of it? No one can predict when the world will end, only the creator knows so just stop scaring yourself on nothing.

For me, being afraid of this date is non-sense. People who believes in whatever they are telling about this date have very low faith. i believe that only God can determine whatever may happen to us. Let's not predict anything non-sense things. this wil just bring a lot of confusion to all.

There are multiple beliefs about 12 20, 2012. One of them is the transition from Pisces age to Aquarius age.
