I have to sell a lot of books

My father has given me a lot of his old books and he asked me to sell them for him. I am trying to find the best way to do it. I have 3 ideas: I can sell them online, I can arrange a garage sale at my home or I can take them to a second hand book store.
Taking the books to a second hand book store would be the easiest option, but I wouldn't get a lot of money for the books, and they are probably not going to accept all the books. A garage sale could be an option, and last time we had a garage sale quite a lot of people showed up.
If I sell them online it would require a lot more work and time, because I would have to take pictures, write a description of each book and talk to the buyers and send the books to them, but I would probably get more money that way (if I manage to sell the books to individual buyers)
What would you choose to do if you had a lot of books to sell? Or have you been in that situation in the past? What did you do?

Yes, unfortunately our countries are quite far from eachother and it would be expensive to send the books to another part of the world, but thanks for the interest anyway

If I'm in your case, I would do both selling the books online and having a garage sale so I can sell them fast. Your right about selling the books online, you'll have many things to do to sell it but have higher pay. Well, goodluck on selling those books.

Thanks I have decided to combine the different options and sell some of them on the internet and sell some of them online. A man from a second hand book shop that I have used before might be interested in buying some of the books. I will show them to him tomorrow and then he can decide if he wants to buy some of them. The rest of them I will save for the next garage sale or maybe sell them online if I can find some buyers on the internet.
