In Luang Prabang in Laos we had to spend quite a lot of time at the airport.
We had to leave the hotel in the morning so we had to go to the airport early and wait there. I had some books to read and my husband and I also chatted and played some word games together and solved sudokus together, so we managed to pass the time, but we were very happy when we were finally able to check in. Afterwards we talked about making a list of things to do when you have to wait for many hours at the airport or at another place and we wrote down some of our ideas like reading, listening to music or talking to other passengers.
Did you ever had to wait many hours at the airport because you had to check out from your hotel many hours before your flight? Or because your flight was delayed? How did you pass the time at the airport? Did you do things on your own like reading or did you chat to the other passengers?

The longest time I have waited in the airport was perhaps 3 hours. Normally, while waiting I usually go to the coffee shop and take coffee and at times, I play some games on my pone or perhaps watch some movies on the airport televisions.

I also like to visit the coffee shop while I am waiting. I am a big coffee lover so it is a nice way for me to pass the time if I know that I have to wait several hours. This time my husband and I travelled together so we were able to chat and play some games while we waited and that was nice. When I am alone I usually read or look at the other passengers.

Hi there. Yes, I have experienced waiting at the airport but not quite for a long time. I just have to wait for about an hour and a half to two. I was waiting for the plane to arrive because it was delayed. I didn't really do much productive thing as what you did but I can say that I didn't get bored waiting. Just looking with other people's gestures entertained me a lot. Plus, I have to eat. So I just eat, eat, eat and hhhhhhhmm eat then look at some of my co-passengers who are also waiting for the plane to arrive.

When I was flying from Copenhagen to Tallinn in Estonia my plane was also delayed. There was a hurrycane that I wasn't sure that they were going to fly at all, but after a lot of waiting time I was finally able to fly to Tallinn. I really got the chance to see Copenhagen ariport from the inside because I had to spend so much time there Yes, it can be entertaining to look at the other people while you are waiting, I do that, too. That is good way to pass the time when you are waiting...and so is eating

Your right waiting in an airport can be very frustrating frustrating though its better to get to the airport early than be late and miss your flight. The longest I have waited for a flight is about 4 hours, this was a gap between two flights.I got a flight from Manchester to Heathrow and then a flight from Heathrow to LA.The reason for the long gap is because we didn't want the flights to be close together in case the first flight was late and caused us to meet the second flight. However in fact the first flight was a little bit early but it was better to be safe than sorry.I spent the time reading a book I bought from one of the airport shops.I would probably have found the wait worse if I was on my way home from holiday as all i wouldnt have the holiday to look forward to and would want to get home as soon as possible.

Yes, I have experienced it a couple of times I think. Delayed arrival of our scheduled plane mostly due to bad weather. Now, I see to it that I have something to read just in case it happens again.

I did waiting at the airport for hours, 2 weeks ago when I on my way moving to the city where I live now. I have to transit 2 times, the 2nd one was the longest cos I had to wait for almost 6 hours. I walked around the airport, bought a novel "The Hobit" to spend time, but I became bored after sometime. I went to A&W ordered a burger then I back to waiting room. Thank god when I arrived at waiting room it was empty, not totally empty, there's only few people there and about 4 TVs in every different corner so I spendt the rest time watching TV and talked with other passanger who were on transitting like me.
