Hello Friends
I have recently moved from IOS to Android. So don't know much about it. In applie IOS there wasn't any risk of viruses as it apple always safe in that thing, and also it is not having any mass storage option, so it is safe.
But in android it seems better I go for one protection. So I have installed AVAST mobile anti virus protection on my phone. So far it seems good and giving good protection to my phone. And good thing is that it is not eating more battery in background process.
So it is looking good. But still It would be better to hear some experienced one. Is it okay and enough for protection our mobile. I know no Antivirus protection is 100% secure but still it seems good to me. Please tell me if you know some better. Thanks.

Hi,
I am using Avast from last one year and very happy with the results.
Earlier i tried another anti virus, don't remember name, for that need to check my handset under all application (i guess it was from china), that also worked good and having good ranking, but then i switched to AVAST and so far so good.

Hi Life
Thanks for sharing your experience. Now it sounds good to me. I mean you are using it since a year and still you okay with it, means it is doing well.
I have avast on my pc and have no problem since last three years. But I am not sure if it is that good on mobile too. But so far it is doing well. Do you remember that china app name, I would like to see its specs too.

I got the name it was NQ mobile security and Anti virus.
Size 4.97MB
Current rank is 4.5
then i tried quick heal mobile security, and was not satisfied as was having trial for one month so switched to avast and using from last one year.
Juice Defender - battery saver is good option for battery saving.

Hi b'rather
Christmas time is near... so try out putting some chocos in that fone... and if the AVAST can save your fone... definitely that is the best
Personally, I have no idea as I never had any phone that needed an anti virus kit on it. But yes, I have used AVAST on a computer some years ago (before I found the AVG) and it was good. At least much better than those Norton, McCafee and some others which would take a lot of space and also make the system booting too very slow. I have also listened to some adverts on FM about the AVAST for mobile and they dont seem to make tall claims like a few others. So that can be a good sign.

Hi Bro
Yes in computer it is surely good. Even I am using avast itself in my laptop. And yes they are surely better than those big names. About AVG similar to you I was using it in past, and than switched to avast. AVG was quite well too.
About chocos, well, I have already tried some of them and so far avast is showing no negative results.. So looks okay to me.

Ouch! That did not occur to me. I have a purchased version of AVG and that expires in 2018. It was a 6 year pack offer (referred by one close friend who was with them; today, he is working in WIPRO, New Delhi) and as that was quite cheaper, I opted for it. And yes, the performance of AVG is also good but I dont think it will be any good for mobiles as it is large sized and also needs frequent updating.
I would switch to AvAST or anything lighter once my 2018 deal expires with AVG.
For the chocos... they havent reached me yet. I thought you would SMS them to me and somewhere on the message it would say - sent from my Android

My cousin have galaxy duos with her and she uses avast protection to maintain security. I am regular user of the phone and I don't find any much problem with it. The thing the find is it takes little time to get launched. Well this problem may be there for every antivirus but the this problem seems to be okay when the phone is given some seconds to get launched. More over it provides a good protection. Still now the phone doesn't show any problem regarding virus activities.

Hi Wonderboy
Thanks for sharing your experience with it. Yes that kind of problem will be there with every anti virus software. They put some load on the process of starting for sure. But still I have found that Avast is lightest in this loading process in compare of other Antivirus applications. And yes it is giving good security too. But I am still new in Android, and I would surely like to check few more security related apps on my new Android phone. I will choose the best one among them. Thanks again.

I think avast is much enough for my needs because it is little more faster as compared to other antivirus and I don't think I don't need a change for it.

hi man
yah indeed AVAST is really cool because i have been using it for more than 2years
and i have really liked that i would buy it if it was sold and that it of no regret to have it installed on your phone. The nicest thing is it even tracks your phone incase of theft to the extent that if the thief insert his sim card the AVAST will send you details about the thiefs sim card to the number u set the antitheft to.It just cool so go ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow.. I didn't know about this feature even I have installed software on my phone. I will check it out.. And surely it is very useful tool in case we lost our phone somewhere.
Thanks for sharing information to me, and its always good to have suggestion from 2 years old experience user. About purchasing, so far never purchased any app, but I am happy that Avast is having free version of anti virus for now. I am sure they will also keep free version when they lunch pro or purchased version.

I didn't know that you can get avast or avg for android phons/. That is cool though, as I have used both on my laptop. The antivirus I use on my phone is lookout, and I have never had any problems with it at all. I really don't know which one is best though. It is great though, that there are antivirus apps for the mob ile phone. I guess I never figured you could get viruses on your phone, but I suppose it can happen, however, I have never so far, and I am glad about that. I will have to try avast and see how good it is. Thank you for this discussion as I really learned something. Take care, and have a great day.

Hello... I am glad that you able to know something new from here.
Yes it is always good that big companies like them are creating software for mobile phone also. And also both AVG and AVAST free version is available, so no need to pay for it.
So far having good experience from avast, but will try out more as I want to keep best one.
