In reference to the elementary school shooting of recent occurances, in which Adam Lanza murdered his mother and those kids and adults I was wondering about the mother. They have hardly shown anything on her funeral services and the process of talking about her in general besides that she had guns in the house, was well off, etc. She is hardly mentioned in the funerals though that are starting to happen. Does she count in any of this or is it just something people avoid because was was related to him? I don't care either way but was wondering on your thoughts about it.

In the Dutch newspapers I only read some comments from her collegues. She was the type always willing to help others, always thinking in the positive way. Well, for what it's worth. But it's strange that she gets less attention. As if she somehow is to blame. Not good!

Maybe because she is described by the few people who are interviewed that she's a good person. The press/media maybe are trying to disconnect her from the crime since she's also a victim.

A neighbor or friend, I came into the interview after it had started so I didn't catch which she was, said that the mother was rather strict and I wonder if this was part of the problem. The family may not want anything known about her. Atleast not yet. I think she counts very highly in all of this. She was the mother after all and usually there is nurturing and love in a normal situations. In the case of serial killers most of the mothers are very over baring.
