Is it wrong to want to look for another church?

If you feel that you are being distracted during praise and worship time. I don't know in this church it seems okay, I just feel its a distraction in praise and worship time with lights flashing everywhere all around the church. I don't even know what the flashy lights are for. I don't like so much distraction during that time. What do you think?

Do you mean they are taking pictures during worship time? I don't think that is proper then. There is always a right time for everything and I don't want to get distracted while I am listening to doctrines during worship time as well.

Not taking pictures, although I wouldn't appreciate that either. But just bright lights randomly moving around the church like I'm at a concert or something. It gets a bit distracting.

It's up to you dear if you are going to change the church you are attending to. Just always remember that we are there to praise and worship the Lord and feel His presence, not for anything else.

Yeah, I'm not sure though, I think I'll have to pray about it. Before I just duck out. It is a good church and we've only gone a couple of times.

i was baptized as a roman catholic when i was still a baby. now that i've grown up, i really want to change religion because i believe there are a lot of flaws in their teachings. i don't really see anything wrong with that. anyway, it's you life.

We go to the church building to worship Him with fellow believers. That should be our objective. There will always be distractions; babies who cries; flashing lights; children running; folks yawning... Perhaps if we only focus on why we are with the other believers, it might turn out to be a great time?

When i worship Jesus I close my eyes and raise my hands to block out everything that is going on around me so there its just me and God and I can get into His Presence and really focus on Him. I know what you mean flashing lights like you are at a disco or something dont leave because of the lights Just press in Close your eyes and Focus on the Lord. Hope this helps blessings Peace and Love in Jesus Name.

Praise and Worship are very vital to our relationship with God. Praise confuses the devil and God inhabits our praises. Worship is a personal experience with you and God. Worship is intimacy and worship brings you into God's presence. If you are not being nourished spiritually consider praying and asking God to lead you to the ministry where he would have you fellowship. If you clear your mind and focus solely on God, meditate on his goodness and faithfulness you may be able to ignore the lights a little more and press into God's presence.

I do not think there is something wrong if you do not look for a church where you would feel that you are welcome, and that you are at home. It is of course our own decision where we would want to stay in a community with same faith and common interest. Where we are comfortable with the people we have in the church we chose then it should feel as if we are in the comfort or company of our friends.

I dont think so . It really depends on you where you prefer to go. But i can understand we have this problem with churches. They don't take it in a normal way if we try to change /or look for other church. I agree its lot of disturbance while worship. The pastor and concerned members should take care of this. or else why dont you tell them about your problem.

No, it is not wrong to look for another church. That is what religious freedom is all about. You are not looking for another God and you are not looking for another Jesus, you are only looking for a church in which you feel comfortable worshiping. Pray and seek God's guidance and He will lead you to a church in which you feel that you belong and you feel comfortable and at peace.
